Ragini Puriya Dhanasri is an evening rage. The falt (komal) notes are Re and Dha while the Ma is sharp (tivra). The moodof this raga is peace, pathos, joy and power. The king note is Pa, and the minister note is Sa. The movement or chalan of the ascending and descending notes are: ṆrGMP-MGMrG-MdnS SNdp-MGMrG-rGMdMG-rGrS. The way of using Re and Dha should not give any morning raga effect or the effect of any raga from this Purbi that (scale). Puriya Dhanasri is a very old traditional raga
