Report of the Regional Libraries Funding Formula Review Committee : meeting the challenges of the 21st century by Nova Scotia( Book )

3 editions published in 1993 in English and held by 10 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In March 1993, a regional public libraries funding formula review committee was appointed by the Minister of education to review the funding for regional public libraries in the province. The committee had broad representation from municipalities, regional public libraries, and the Government of Nova Scotia. The need for the review arose because many of the regional public libraries, and the municipalities which support them jointly with the province, had expressed concern about the level of both provincial and municipal funding, as well as the manner in which it is distributed to regional library boards. This document presents the first report of the Libraries Funding Formula Review Committee. The report contains recommendations for funding regional public libraries in Nova Scotia for the twelve month fiscal period beginning April, 1994
