Cont. Professional photographs deptic activities and personalities with which Neal was involved or supported. The bulk of collection images depict Neal's involvement with the Black Arts Movement (1960's-1970's). Contact sheets portray Neal lecturing and socializing at professional functions (i.e., receptions, meetings, etc.). The collection contains a group portrait of scholars at the Gordy Foundation Conference [197?], that explored the impact of Black Culture on the world. Contact sheet images capture a number of Black Arts Movement personalities working on artistic projects or socializing with one another. With the exception of one image of Black Panther H. Rap Brown (Jamil Al-Amin), the professional photographs do not document Neal's involvement with the Black Panther Party.
