Papers of Charles Pelham Curtis, Jr., Boston lawyer and writer. The major part of the collection consists of diaries of Alice Daland Chandler, 1874-1932 (with gaps), and her daughter Helen Chandler Winlock, 1901-1902, 1904-1908. Alice's diaries describe her activities and those of her husband Francis W. Chandler and their children Henry, Helen, and Ethel. The collection also contains a partial diary by Henry Daland Chandler, 1932. Other small volumes include a diary of a trip to Europe, 1874; a diary (1847-1853), memoranda books, and passports for Unitarian minister John Cordner. One scrapbook contains clippings relating to yacht races in 1913 and 1914, in which C. P. Curtis, Sr. ran his yacht Ellen. Another contains clippings about Glenwood Springs, Colo., where the elder Curtis lived for a time. An oversize scrapbook contains clippings concerning the 1897 Boston mayoral election
