This and previous arbitrary rulings causes great discontent amongst employees. As a last resort before striking, they send Lewis to New York to reason with the company executives, especially "B" who signs the orders. Thinking this means Barker, the president, Lewis visits him first and finds a kindly, old gentleman with a very attractive daughter. It seems that Brown, the manager, is the villian, and he has just absconded with the company's cash. Lewis is sent after Brown, captures him, is promoted to executive and wins the girl
