Identity crisis (stardate 44664.5): While serving on the U.S.S. Victory, Geordi and his friend Susanna were part of an away team sent to investigate the disappearance of the colonists on Tarchannen III. Now, members of the same away team have begun to vanish as well! When a stolen shuttle is spotted on course to Tarchannen III, the Enterprise pursues the craft, but finds no signs of life. However, the planet is apparently making Susanna ill; lab tests show her blood chemistry has been altered and she is being transformed into an alien. The Nth degree (stardate 44704.2): The Enterprise is sent to repair a telescope that has stopped relaying data. The problem is an alien probe. When Geordie and a shy crewman, Barclay, check it out, the probe emits and energy surge, which knocks Barclay out. When he recovers, Barclay takes charge of the situation, eliminating the probe. Geordie is sure this new-found confidence is due to the probe -- but how ... and why?
