Résolution numérique des équations de Navier-Stokes pour un fluide compressible en maillage triangulaire by L Fezoui( Book )

Structured compressible flow computations on the connection machine by S Lanteri( Book )

3 editions published in 1990 in English and held by 6 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "We present our first experiments on Computational Fluid Dynamics on the Connection Machine CM-2. We are interested in numerical solutions of time-dependent Euler and Navier-Stokes equations using a finite-volume method on structured grids. We would like to obtain reference performances for our approach to massively parallel CFD. These performances are compared to those obtained on a classical supercomputer such as the CRAY-2."
Comparisons of several upwind schemes for multi-component one-dimensional inviscid flows by D Chargy( Book )

2 editions published in 1990 in English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

A parallel time-domain Maxwell solver using upwind schemes and triangular meshes by Jean-Pierre Cioni( Book )

3 editions published in 1993 in English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "A Finite-Volume/Finite-Element method developed in CFD is applied to solve numerically the time-dependent 2D Maxwell system. We use a third-order accurate explicit scheme with triangular meshes. We are particularly concerned here with scattering problems for both homogeneous and non-homogeneous materials. Radar Cross Section calculations are presented and compared with exact or integral method solutions. A parallel version of the algorithm on the Connection Machine is presented and the performances are compared with those obtained with a fully vectorized version on the CRAY YMP."
Méthodes spectrales parallèles et application aux simulations de couches de mélange compressibles by Jean-Michel Malé( Book )

3 editions published between 1993 and 1994 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Computational fluid dynamics with irregular grids on the connection machine by Charbel Farhat( Book )

2 editions published in 1991 in English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

We report performance results for internal and external flow problems which indicate that a 16K CM-2 with single precision floating point arithmetic is at least as fast as one processor CRAY-2 and in some cases twice as fast for solving such problems, and this for a virtual processor ratio (VPR) as small as one."
Une interface C++ pour programmer sur la Connection Machine by Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique( Book )

3 editions published in 1992 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "In this work, a set of C++ classes are described which provide the Connection Machine programmer with a simplified interface to the PARIS library. Numerical test cases such as parallel arithmetic operations (scalar product, SAXPY, . [sic]) and a Jacobi iterative resolution, are used to perform a validation of the C++ interface. Performance results of the C++ interface are presented and compared to those obtained using the PARIS library or using high-level langages [sic] of the CM-2 system such as C* or CM-FORTRAN. A classical example in numerical ecology is used for illustrating the performance in parallel computation with integers."
Approximation des equations de Maxwell par des schemas decentres en elements finis by J.-P Cioni( Book )

3 editions published in 1992 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "A Finite-Volume/Finite-Element mixed approach, largely used in CFD, is applied here to solve numerically the time-dependant Maxwell system. The scheme used is third order accurate both in time and space. We are particularly concerned here with the simulation of bidimensionnal [sic] scattering problems, in the case of linear material and homogeneous media."
On high resolution extensions of Lagrange-Galerkin finite-element schemes by A Dervieux( Book )

3 editions published in 1992 in English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Decomposition de flux de van Leer en elements finis = A finite element method relying on van Leer flux splitting by L Fezoui( Book )

2 editions published in 1988 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "This paper deals with numerical simulations of 2-D Euler compressible flows. M.U.S.C.L. Finite Volume approach with a Finite Element triangulation is used to solve steady accurate solutions with a robust and efficient implicit linearized scheme. We choose the van Leer flux-vector splitting and its jacobian in order to get the Newton method when large time steps are used. Comparisons are made with an other [sic] scheme: Osher's flux for explicit step and Steger-Warming's flux for implicit step; we present calculations with the two methods for a complex flow with high Mach numbers."
On TVD criteria for mesh adaption for Euler and Navier-Stokes calculations = Criteres TVD d'adaptation de maillage pour la resolution des equations d'Euler et de Navier-Stokes by B Palmerio( Book )

1 edition published in 1990 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Abstract: "Considering the TVD methods as accuracy-adaptation methods, we propose a strategy for deciding mesh refinements for TVD- approximated compressible flows. Both mesh enrichment and deformation are applied to typical test cases involving shocks boundary layers: a flow past a flat plate and flows around an airfoil."
