6 editions published in 1995 in French and held by 74 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Based on interviews with survivors, the editors describe the liberation of the concentration camps. On pp. 37-55, they relate the experiences of 15 survivors (14 of them Jews), describing the evacuation of the camps by the Germans, the death marches, starvation, exhaustion, and cold. Those who weakened and fell were shot by the Germans. After hours of marching, some were crammed into closed train carriages for several days, without air, water, or food; many testify that these were the most painful experiences of their imprisonment, even more traumatic than the concentration camps. Pp. 75-109 discuss photographs as testimony, including interviews with photographers, and examples of photographs taken by the liberating soldiers

2 editions published in 2014 in French and held by 51 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

3 editions published in 2005 in French and held by 21 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Presents over 500 antisemitic postcards, mainly from Europe and the USA, from the late 19th century to the Shoah. Emphasizes their role in the creation of collective European anti-Jewish imagery and antisemitic mass-culture. However, the postcards also reflect national differences. English-language postcards from before World War I mainly reproduced traditional antisemitic stereotypes; after the Russian revolution, the increasing political antisemitism is seen in the portrayal of the Jews as Bolsheviks and conspirators. Nevertheless, as opposed to Germany, Russia, and Poland, total exclusion of the Jews from civil society was not advocated. German and Slavic postcards were openly antisemitic and demanded the exclusion of the Jews. The integral role of racial antisemitism in German society well before Nazism is noted. Thematically, French postcards fall between the English and the German/Slavic ones; at first they reflected traditional Christian anti-Judaism but, with the Dreyfus Affair, political antisemitism was introduced. After a significant drop in the production and distribution of antisemitic postcards in France during World War I, another peak was reached in the 1930s, when elimination of the Jews from French society appeared as a theme
