He consults with Denton Drake, his cousin and associate partner, and informs him that an evil master mind, known as "The Evil Eye," is behind the series of robberies of bank messengers. "The Evil Eye" plots with a group of his men, who pretend to be blind. Druce assigns a delivery of one million dollars in bonds to Frank Armstrong, his most reliable messenger.
