[Special privilege for Segovia : manuscript document in Spanish by
Henry(
)
1 edition published in 1420 in Spanish and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
El dolente (the sufferer) as Enrique III is popularly known, here grants a privilege to the Segovian citizens, officials, lords and squires and their household members, exempting them from all transportation, passage, castling and other similar taxes on their merchandise and manufactured goods. There were challenges and reaffirmations between the granting of the privilege and the termination date, all of which are documented here. This manuscript is a scribal copy from 1420 written in a clear standard notarial hand. The manuscript is folded with later sewing. A small semicircular piece is torn from the inner margins of first and last leaves not costing any text loss. Edges are chipped and with short tears
