Strengthening Hospital Responses to Family Violence - Stage One : final evaluation report by Sarah Kearney( )

in English and held by 0 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The hospital system is an early contact point for many people who have experienced family violence, presenting an opportunity for earlier identification and improved responses and referral of victims. The Victorian Government has funded the Strengthening Hospital Responses to Family Violence Project to improve identification, build staff capacity, and strengthen relationships between hospitals and the integrated family violence system. The project commenced in April 2014 in two pilot sites - the metropolitan, specialist Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne and the regional, general Bendigo Health hospital. This evaluation report describes the project and reviews progress made towards meeting outcomes and objectives. These outcomes include: development of policies and guidelines, increased identification and referrals, planning and implementing primary prevention initiatives, building the evidence base, and learnings for transferring the program to other sites. Further information on the evaluation framework and findings is published separately in a technical appendix
