Prispevek temelji na zamisli, kako opisati obnašanje požara. Delo je zasnovano na analitičnem proučevanju nastanka, razvijanja in širjenja požara in obsega področja termodinamike, prenosa toplote, hidrodinamike ter zgorevanja,ki pomenijo osnovo modeliranja dinamike požarov. Delo prikazuje primer iztekanja nevarne gorljive kemikalije iz cisterne, kar lahko privede do požara. Skušali smo izdelati model širjenja požara v okolici skladišča z gorljivim plinom in prikazati, kolikšen del okolice bi bil pri tem prizadet. Model upošteva vremenske vplive, predvsem hitrost in smer vetra. Uporabili smo računalniški področni ali predelni model Safer Trace. V predelnem modelu se pojavi opisani s fizikalnimi in empiričnimi enačbami. Pomanjkljivost modela je, da ni mogoče upoštevati topologije področja. Predstavljeni so matematični modeli, ki prikazujejo disperzijo nevarne tekočine v okolico z upoštevanjem vremenskih vplivov

The basic aim of this paper is to research the relevant features of the control and management of an outdoor fire event and its influence on the safety of the surrounding area. The work is based on an analytical study of the fire's origin, its development and spread. A computer program called FDS (Fire Dynamic Simulator) is used in the work to simulate the fire's behaviour.A program based on the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) model usingthe LES (Large Eddie Simulation) is used to calculate the fire's development and the spread of the combustion products in the environment. The fire's source is located in the vicinity of a hazardous plant, e.g., a power or chemical plant. The article presents the brief background of the FDS computer program and the initial and boundary conditions used in the mathematical model. The output data is discussed and the validity of the results is checked. The work also presents some corrections to the physical model used and its validation by experimental data, which influences the quality of results. The obtained results were discussed and compared with the Fire Safety Analysis report included in the Probabilistic Safety Assessment of the Krsko nuclear power plant

This program uses large Eddie simulation (LES) to calculate fire development and the spread of combustion products in the environment. The fire source is located in the vicinity of a hazardous plant; e.g., power, chemical, etc. The article presents the brief background of the FDS computer program and the initial and boundary conditions used in the mathematical model. In this analysis, it is often necessary to carry out many repeat simulations of a hazardous event and the computer run time becomes an important factor. Ideally, results should be obtained with a dense computational grid but hardware resources and excessive computational time can preclude this option. The response is to reduce a grid density but to ensure that results are only acceptable if comparable to those obtained with a dense grid. The work presents some corrections of the physical model used and its validation by experimental data, which influence the quality of results
