It has long been known that children in less deprived households with more educated and older parents score higher in cognitive development at age three and this influences many aspects of life. However, the modifiable activities that occur in any household which could influence development is not widely explored. Using data from the Millennium Cohort, this poster investigates what factors are associated with an increased likelihood of an advanced reading age at three years old and thus what activities parents can implement and professionals can recommend to parents in order to improve cognitive development
