All about sex : a family resource on sex and sexuality by Ronald Filiberti Moglia( Book )

6 editions published in 1997 in English and Undetermined and held by 486 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The name Planned Parenthood appears above the title of this book, which is a product of that organization. For some, that constitutes an endorsement, for others, a warning; basically (and somewhat simplistically), People for the American Way types will embrace it, Christian Coalition types spurn it. Both groups are probably right to do as they may, for this sex manual is latitudinarian (as long as sex is informed and responsible, it is okay) and utterly secular. Actually, calling it a sex manual is too reductive. Besides covering sexual physiology, development, psychology, and hygiene, it includes detailed chapters on sexual anthropology, the history of sexual beliefs and knowledge, family planning, and laws affecting sex and sexuality. Sidebars of supplementary information and advice (e.g., a 'Self-Assessment Quiz' entitled 'Deciding to Have Sex') abound, and lists of organizations, hot lines, and Web sites concerned with sexuality, and of suggested further reading conclude what is best regarded as a discursive resource of which many libraries may want to keep reference as well as circulating copies. - Ray Olson; 336p-
