Cesarean section : understanding and celebrating your baby's birth by Michele Moore( Book )

8 editions published between 2003 and 2004 in English and held by 1,184 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"In Cesarean Section: Understanding and Celebrating Your Baby's Birth, Drs. Michele Moore and Caroline de Costa emphasize the joy of delivering a healthy baby, however that is best achieved. They explain why a Cesarean birth is sometimes preferable to vaginal delivery for both mother and baby, and they help women understand the issues behind the decision to perform the procedure. From anesthesia, surgery, and recovery through at-home care of mother and child, the authors offer reassurance and practical information for all mothers and mothers-to-be. They also discuss the latest findings on postpartum depression and planning for future births, including the possibility of vaginal birth after a Cesarean section." "For every woman who has a planned - or unplanned - Cesarean section, this book provides the information they need to alleviate their fears and come to value this delivery option."--Jacket

One of the few books devoted to prospective mothers over thirty-five, this one also includes information on surrogacy, adoption, and the first few months of being a new mother."--Jacket
Reimagining research for reclaiming the academy in Iraq : identities and participation in post-conflict enquiry : the Iraq Research Fellowship Programme by Heather Brunskell-Evans( )

10 editions published in 2012 in English and held by 710 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book is without doubt one of the most important publications that I have read for a very long time. These stories by Iraqi scholars raise many important insights, issues and questions. Their accounts provide some chilling insights into the terrible forms of oppression and discrimination that are part of the barriers to the realisation of an inclusive and creative development. It is extremely difficult to appreciate the pain and suffering that has been an integral part of their lives. Their accounts are readable and refreshingly honest. I do believe that there is a moral responsibility for all members of departments in universities to read and discuss this book as a matter of urgency. This needs to be done in terms of what we can learn about Iraq and in turn, to critically examine our own current conditions, relations, policies and practices, so that we can also struggle for a more inclusive system of educational provision and practice in higher education
