Theseproceedingscontainthe?nalversionsofpapersacceptedfortheworkshops that were held in conjunction with the Fifth International Conference on Bu- ness Process Management (BPM 2007) that took place in Brisbane, Australia. Twenty workshop proposals were submitted for this conference of which seven were selected. Ultimately this resulted in six workshops that ran concurrently on September 24 2007. This was the third year running for BPM workshops, a testament to the continued success of the workshop program. The BPM community's ongoing strong interest in process modelling, design, measurement and analysis were well re?ected in the "Business Process Intel- gence" and "Business Process Design" workshops. This year's workshops also included two new emerging areas that have gained increased attention: "C- laborative Business Processes"--A topic which explores the challenges in se- less integration of and collaboration between business processes from di?erent organizations, and "Process-Oriented Information Systems in Healthcare"--a topic which recognizes the importance of patient-centered process support in healthcare and looks into the potential bene?ts and limitations of IT support for healthcareprocesses. The"ReferenceModeling" workshopcoveredlanguages for reference modelling, evaluation and adaptation of reference models, and - plicationsofsuchmodels. Finally, the "AdvancesinSemantics forWebServices" workshop considered some of the latest research e?orts in the?eld of Semantic Web services including relevant tools and techniques and real-worldapplications of such services. We would like to thank the workshop organizers for their tremendous e?orts in the preparation for the workshops, the organization of the reviews, the - site moderation of the workshops, and the publication process
Web service implementation and composition techniques by Hye-Young Paik( )

14 editions published between 2017 and 2018 in English and German and held by 297 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book embarks on a mission to dissect, unravel and demystify the concepts of Web services, including their implementation and composition techniques. It provides a comprehensive perspective on the fundamentals of implementation standards and strategies for Web services (in the first half of the book), while also presenting composition techniques for leveraging existing services to create larger ones (in the second half). Pursuing a unique approach, it begins with a sound overview of concepts, followed by a targeted technical discussion that is in turn linked to practical exercises for hands-on learning. For each chapter, practical exercises are available on Github. Mainly intended as a comprehensive textbook on the implementation and composition of Web services, it also offers a useful reference guide for academics and practitioners. Lecturers will find this book useful for a variety of courses, from undergraduate courses on the foundational technology of Web services through graduate courses on complex Web service composition. Students and researchers entering the field will benefit from the combination of a broad technical overview with practical self-guided exercises. Lastly, professionals will gain a well-informed grasp of how to synthesize the concepts of conventional and "newer" breeds of Web services, which they can use to revise foundational concepts or for practical implementation tasks
