June, 1897. It is the week of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. Watson spots a hansom pulling up to the door. A "most singular figure" emerged and Watson knew the name of their next visitor. Moments later Sam Clemens was in the parlor, explaining his problem. While on his speaking tour in South Africa, Clemens noticed a singular man watching from behind a drape in the room. But now he's seen the man again, running out of Clemens' London house and no one in the house had seen him. The Clemens family is grieving the death of daughter, Susy and don't want publicity. Holmes dispatches Wiggins and the Irregulars to locate the man. Soon after he's found, the man is killed. Holmes continues the investigation and uncovers a plot to assasinate Her Majesty as she passes the Colonials attending her triumphant Jubilee Royal Procession
