Eine hochinteressante CD auf "außergewöhnlichem Niveau" mit französischen Chorwerken aus 50 Jahren hat das SWR Vokalensemble unter seinem bis 2002 amtierenden Chefdirigenten Rupert Huber vorgelegt. Sie enthält Werke von Olivier Messiaen (den 1949 entstandenen Zyklus "Cinq Rechants" für 12 gemischte Stimmen), Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, André Jolivet und Ernest Chausson. "Die Interpreten bleiben ... nicht bei der bloßen Bewältigung des höchst komplexen Notentextes stehen, sondern erfüllen ihn mit (musikalischem) Leben" (Fono Forum 2/03). Diese CD dokumentiert zum einen rund 50 Jahre französische A-cappella-Literatur, zum anderen das Spitzenniveau des SWR-Vokalensembles. Für alle Bestände, in denen auch Außergewöhnliches seinen Platz hat. (pr)
