"In the castle town of Midland, a new king has come to power through treachery and violence. His demonic agents victimise the citizens unchecked, until the night when a battle weary soldier approaches the city. Covered in a slew of weapons and countless jagged scars, he calls himself the Black Swordsman. The sword he carries is the size of his grudge against the king, and he hunts the servants of evil with unrelenting fury"--Container

Europe, after the Great War. Harry Haller, solitary intellectual, is beset by reflections on his being ill suited for the world of everyday regular people, specifically for frivolous bourgeois society. All his life Harry has feared his dual nature--being both human and beast--so he has decided to die on his 50th birthday, which is soon. The mysterious Hermine, who takes him dancing, introduces him to jazz, to the beautiful and whimsical Maria, and guides him into the hallucinations of the Magic Theater, which seem to take him into Hell. Hermine rescues Harry from his solipsism, but can humor and sin lead to salvation, thus saving modern man? The producers were attempting to make "the first Jungian film," and the requisite special effects, cutting-edge at the time, required seven years of complicated pre-production

During their honeymoon, Miss Canada does not accept the "golden" penis of her husband, and with the help of black man Jeremiah Muscle, she runs away to Paris. There she meets a Latin singer, El Macho, they have intercourse in the Eiffel Tower and get stuck together. She moves to a weird anarchic community and later becomes an actress working in a chocolate advertisement. Meanwhile, the revolutionary, pedophile, and mad killer Anna Planeta makes candy in her boat while sailing through the canals of a city that seems to be Amsterdam. She meets the sailor Potemkin and they have a torrid affair. Meanwhile, she uses her candies to seduce young boys and kill her lovers. In the middle of the story, what seems to be footage of a Nazi doctor and a slaughter in a war with many dead bodies is presented. Makavejev's bizarre and pointedly satirical vision is totally uncompromising and filled with shocking images, looking at sex in all its complexities

On the streets of a damp metropolis lie the corpses of hundreds and hundreds of boys and girls. No one can give them a resting place because of a law enacted by a repressive state. But the young Antigone, with the help of a foreigner, Tiresias, violates this rule in the name of pietas, undermining the established order. I Cannibali, third feature film by Liliana Cavani, starring a trio of excellent actors (Pierre Clementi, Britt Ekland and Tomas Milian), is a modern reinterpretation of Sophocles' tragedy, made during the protest years of 1967-69. A film that stands out for its visionary intelligence, in the context of Italian political cinema

Sua giornata di gloria: "Most of this film consists of a dialogue between the members of an idealistic group of Marxist rebels who plan to wage war against the Establishment. Ironically, the determined rebels seem to have no clue why they are fighting against the unnamed European country. The viewer is left to assume they are fighting for a worthy cause, though the fact is, the rebels may only be rebelling because it is fashionable to be against the existing power structures"Dan Pavlides, All Movie Guide

" ... a non-violent parable in which Zouzou incarnates both Mary and Mary Magdalene while Pierre Clémenti incarnates a discouraged Christ who throws down his arms in the face of world cruelty. In spite of its allegorical nature, the film contains a denunciation of the police repression of 1968, which was generally well understood by viewers at the time."--Philippe Garrel, container

Quelques messages personnels by Pierre Clémenti( Book )

10 editions published between 1973 and 2017 in 4 languages and held by 27 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"In July 1971, during a film shoot in Rome, Pierre Clementi was arrested at his home for possession of drugs. He spent 17 months in prison of Regina Coeli, proclaiming his innocence. In this book, he traces this period by writing an indictment against justice and prison conditions. But this testimony goes further, because Pierre Clementi also traces key episodes in his life: his past natural child, the offender revolted, learning the craft of acting and his meteoric career, alongside Bunuel, Pasolini and Bertolucci."--Rue des livres online

This comedy contrasts two men, Henrique and Jean de Dieu, appearing in a producton of Strindberg's The Inferno. Offstage Henrique is a seaman with an adverturous life, and de Dieu is the play's director. This idiosyncratic film serves up an eccentric entree of philosophical concepts with some comedic entremets. The "J.W." of the film's title is John Wayne, a reference to Henrique's fascination with Wayne's swagger

The pilgrims are victims of all kinds of obstacles, and for them, the road becomes a cross to bear, a perpetual suffering. Bands of thieves and excommunicated lords divest and murder the voyagers. Dying on the road to St. Jacques is dying like the heroes in "Song of Roland."
