"From the pages of the Old Testament comes the story of Joseph, beloved son of Jacob and steadfast servant of God. He is presented as the favored son of Jacob and Rachel, sold as a boy into slavery by his brothers, who were jealous of Joseph's dreams and of his coat of many colors given him by Jacob. In Egypt, Joseph gained a position of authority in the household of his master, Potiphar, and was later imprisoned on the false accusations of Potiphar's wife. He was released after interpreting Pharaoh's dream of the lean and fat cows. Pharaoh renamed him Zaphnath-paaneah and took him into favor. Due to the obedience of Joseph to his God, Egypt is greatly blessed. Joseph's recognition of his brothers in the famine years when he was governor over Egypt is a famous scene"--Container

Concerted services in Minnesota : an evaluation of developmental change by Luigi Carpentieri( Book )

2 editions published in 1969 in English and held by 19 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The concerted Services in Training and Education (CSTE) program was designed at the federal level to coordinate the resources of all appropriate federal agencies and related state agencies in rural development. The pilot Minnesota program focused on alternative strategies in area development, specifically a rural outmigration area with low income, underemployment, and lack of industry. This evaluation rates the Minnesota CSTE program in terms of its performance of four functions: research, coordination, education, and development. The program was judged successful in identifying through the research function the opportunities available to the disadvantaged. On the basis of the priorities established by research, resources of various public and private agencies were combined to fill needs for training and job development in the coordinating function, which was considered to be of major importance. A randomly selected sample of trainees responded favorably to the various training opportunities, and showed optimism about their futures.
