This film records the wartime experiences and miraculous survival of children who came to live in the Helenowek Colony after the liberation. Visiting actors Dzigan and Schumacher provide the children with much needed comic relief, while the childrens' extraordinary resilience and vitality restore the actors' hopes for a brighter future

Also recorded are the unveiling of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Memorial and the opening of the newly established State of Israel's first diplomatic mission in the world in Warsaw
