Most widely held works by S Kumaresan
An expedition to geometry by S Kumaresan( )

7 editions published between 2005 and 2011 in English and held by 225 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This book, taking a holistic view of geometry, introduces the reader to axiomatic, algebraic, analytic and differential geometry." "Starting with an informal introduction to non-Euclidean plane geometries, the book develops the theory to put them on a rigorous footing. It may be considered as an explication of the Kleinian view of geometry a la Erlangen Programme. The treatment in the book, however, goes beyond the Kleinian view of geometry." "Geometric intuition is emphasized throughout the book. Figures are included wherever needed. The book has several exercises varying from computational problems to investigative or explorative open questions."--BOOK JACKET
A foundation course in mathematics by Ajit Kumar( )

3 editions published between 2017 and 2018 in English and held by 133 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

A basic course in real analysis by Ajit Kumar( Book )

10 editions published between 2014 and 2015 in English and held by 126 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Based on the authors' combined 35 years of experience in teaching, A Basic Course in Real Analysis introduces students to the aspects of real analysis in a friendly way. The authors offer insights into the way a typical mathematician works observing patterns, conducting experiments by means of looking at or creating examples, trying to understand the underlying principles, and coming up with guesses or conjectures and then proving them rigorously based on his or her explorations
A course in differential geometry and Lie groups by S Kumaresan( Book )

7 editions published in 2002 in English and held by 113 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Topology of metric spaces by S Kumaresan( Book )

1 edition published in 2005 in English and held by 61 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Topology of Metric Spaces gives a very streamlined development of a course in metric space topology emphasizing only the most useful concepts, concrete spaces and geometric ideas to encourage geometric thinking, to treat this as a preparatory ground for a general topology course, to use this course as a surrogate for real analysis and to help the students gain some perspective of modern analysis." "Eminently suitable for self-study, this book may also be used as a supplementary text for courses in general (or point-set) topology so that students will acquire a lot of concrete examples of spaces and maps."--BOOK JACKET
Topology of metric spaces by S Kumaresan( Book )

8 editions published between 2005 and 2011 in English and held by 45 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

An Expedition to Geometry by S Kumaresan( )

4 editions published in 2005 in English and held by 37 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Includes Affine and projective classification of Conics, 2 point homogeneity's of the planes, essential isometrics, non euclidean plan geometrics, in this book, the treatment of Geometry goes beyond the Kleinian views

Short courses in mathematics by S Kumaresan( Book )

3 editions published between 2003 and 2005 in English and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Comparison of biomechanical head-neck responses of Hybrid III dummy and whole body cadaver during inverted drops by A., Jr Sances( Book )

1 edition published in 2001 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Biomechanical injury evaluation of laminated glass during rollover conditions by A., Jr Sances( Book )

1 edition published in 2004 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Significantly, more fatalities and serious injuries occur due to ejection in rollover accidents. The present study was conducted to determine the occupant retention and head-neck injury potential aspects of laminated glass in rollover accidents. The head injury and neck parameters were obtained from Hybrid III 50% male dummy test device impacting on various types of side windows with laminated glass. Results indicated that the glass contained the dummy assembly and the head-neck biomechanical parameters were below the critical value injury tolerance limits in simulated rollover accidents
