"Many designers attack their audience's senses through the use of humor, tactile effects, unexpected surprises, interactive measures, and lush or inviting materials or images, but they still need a clever concept to really drive the whole experience. It's a difficult challenge, and this must-have book features examples of work that accomplishes just that."--Jacket

Evaluating the legal system( Visual )

5 editions published in 2003 in English and held by 27 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This program looks at the evaluation of our legal system. It poses four key questions to assess its on-going effectiveness and relevance. They are: is a fair hearing ensured; is effective access to the legal system provided; is dispute resolution timely; and are social values and human rights reflected in the workings of our legal system? Each question is examined in turn, with various case studies from a number of states and courts in Australia illustrating some of the limitations on our legal system. Case studies referred to include: Vernon Moran assaulted by police in NSW; Leesa Meldrum's fight with Victorian IVF legislation; Lindy Chamberlain's murder trial, imprisonment and release; tribal law in Barnes versus the Queen in the Northern Territory; a 55 year sentence imposed on a gang rapist in NSW; Frank Button's rape conviction, appeal and overturning of the decision in Queensland. In the latter case study, all four questions are applied. The program's presenter takes viewers through the four questions, raising a number of points on the way, and the case studies, with ABC footage and reports providing the background."--VEA website
