Manuscrito inconcluso del Quijote de la Mancha, compuesto por láminas de texto a dos tintas y con orlas, todas distintas; dibujos a página entera; y otras únicamente con texto. Las láminas preliminares se encuentran encuadernadas; guardándose el conjunto en dos cajas de conservación. La documentación se puede dividir en tres partes: en la primera, formada por 43 h. ilustradas, con orlas policromadas y con dibujos a página entera (Caja 1, volumen encuadernado), se encuentran los preliminares de la obra constituidos por: anteportada, portada y portadilla con el título y lámina ilustrativa, firmadas las tres últimas por F. Tubau (h. 2r, 3r y 4r); retratos de Cervantes (h. 5r), Don Quijote (h. 6r) y Sancho (h. 7r), firmados por Durbán; ex- libris dibujados de Pío Cabañas Font (h. 8r) y Juan Sedó (h. 9r); la explicación del texto del que se copió el manuscrito (h. 10r); la lista de las primeras ediciones y traducciones del Quijote (h. 11r); la copia de la tasa (11v); dos láminas anunciando el prólogo (h. 12r y 13r) cuyo texto no se llegó a copiar; otra con filacterias en las que aparecen los nombres de distintas obras de Cervantes (h. 14r); le sigue la dedicatoria al Duque de Béjar (h.14v-15r); lámina iluminada a página entera en la se representa a dos ángeles portando una mandorla con las fechas de escritura del Quijote "1605-1615", firmada por F. Tubau (h. 15v); a continuación láminas con los versos preliminares (16r-22v); fe de erratas (h. 23r) y la licencia (23v-24r). Desde la h. 25 solo se dibujan las orlas, sin el texto que debían enmarcar, excepto un fragmento de capítulo I (h. 32r-32v) y del II (h. 34r-34v). Las h. 35r, 36r, 38r, 39r y 41r son representaciones alusivas a los capítulos II y III del Quijote, firmadas por O. Viada (1940) y Durbán. Acompaña un sobre con pruebas de caligrafía y de orlas (11 h.). La segunda parte (consta de 173 h. sueltas, en Caja 2 ), contiene desde el capítulo I al comienzo del LX, estando incompletos el XIV y el XXX. La tercera parte ( 29 h. sueltas, en Caja 2) lo constituyen fragmentos de varios capítulos, entre el I y LX; estando completo el XXI
