Ambos recurren a él para que les proporcione más cobayas. Tiempo después el Muecas acude a Pedro para pedirle ayuda porque una de sus hijas, Florita, quien él mismo ha provocado un mal aborto corre peligro. A pesar de la intervención de Pedro, Florita se desangra y muere. Su novio, Cartucho, amenazando con su navaja al conserje, logra enterarse de lo ocurrido
