A working party report on the life cycle costing of corrosion in the oil and gas industry : a guideline( )

3 editions published in 2003 in English and held by 963 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This EFC publication addresses the important subject of the analysis of life cycle cost of corrosion as it may be applied in the oil and gas production industries. The publication is not intended to be a stand-alone document but to guide the analyst to corrosion-specific subjects for inclusion in an overall analysis. The process of life cycle costing has recently been standardised in ISO 15663, Parts 1 to 3
A working party report on the use of corrosion inhibitors in oil and gas production by J. W Palmer( )

5 editions published between 2004 and 2006 in English and held by 960 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This practical industry-oriented guide has been compiled to meet the needs of personnel employed by operators, design engineers, contractors and chemical suppliers working in the oil and gas industry. The document draws on the experience of specialists employed in various organisations and incorporates appropriate industry and in-company guidelines. Both technical and management issues are addressed and key points are provided at the end of each chapter to aid in the assimilation of the many and varied aspects that contribute to successful corrosion inhibition

Progress in corrosion : the first 50 years of the EFC by European Federation of Corrosion( )

3 editions published in 2009 in English and held by 889 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

With over thirty member societies in twenty-four different countries, the European Federation of Corrosion (EFC) is one of the worlds largest corrosion organisations. Founded in 1955, it recently celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. To mark the event, it was proposed that the EFC Working Parties, each of which addresses a clearly defined aspect of corrosion (or its mitigation), should be invited to contribute to a special publication. Thirteen current and past chairpersons responded to this challenge and each, in their own way, has summarised progress in their particular area of interest. The main focus of these contributions is on developments during the first fifty years of existence of the EFC and, in particular, on the contributions made by its working parties. The topics covered include: Corrosion Inhibitors; High Temperature Corrosion; Nuclear Corrosion; Corrosion Education; Methods of Corrosion Testing; Marine Corrosion; Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion; Corrosion in Concrete; Corrosion in Oil and Gas Production; Corrosion Control by Coatings; Corrosion Management in Refineries; Cathodic Protection; Corrosion in Automotive
Encyclopaedia of international corrosion standards by G. S Fomin( )

2 editions published in 2003 in English and held by 829 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book is one of a series of reference volumes on international standards in various fields of activity prepared by the Russian National Institute for Standardisation (see the author's summary on p. 7). Although initially intended for the benefit of Russian industry and commerce, the subject matter is, by definition, of international value and deserves wider dissemination. The contents have been thoroughly revised and updated by Dr McIntyre
Methods for the assessment of structural integrity of components and structures( )

3 editions published in 2003 in English and held by 826 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This volume brings together the papers presented at the 8th Symposium organised by the Technical Advisory Group on Structural Integrity of Nuclear Plant (TAGSI), which was held on 25 April 2001 at the TWI Conference Centre at Granta Park, Great Abington near Cambridge, UK. The subject of this one-day symposium was "Methods for the Assessment of the Structural Integrity of Components and Structures" and was attended by over eighty delegates from nuclear and non-nuclear industries, academia and governmental organisations. The construction, process, power generation, manufacturing and tr
High velocity oxy-fuel spraying : theory, structure-property relationships and applications by V. V Sobolev( )

6 editions published in 2004 in English and held by 825 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) Spraying is widely used now for many industrial applications and is probably the best among the thermal spray techniques for some specific needs, e.g., for deposition of the cement coatings. Both industry and research laboratories have a need to improve their understanding of the HVOF spray processing in order to develop the optimum conditions and effective control of HVOF spraying which enables production of the quality coatings. Addressing this need is the main objective of this book
The effects of hydrogen in aluminium and its alloys by David Talbot( )

4 editions published between 2003 and 2004 in English and held by 825 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

A working party report on guidelines on materials requirements for carbon and low alloy steels for H₂S-containing environments in oil and gas production( )

4 editions published between 2009 and 2019 in English and held by 822 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Self-healing properties of new surface treatments( )

3 editions published in 2011 in English and held by 807 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This publication was motivated by the highly successful workshop on self-healing coatings held on 12 September 2007 at the European Federation of Corrosion's annual EUROCORR conference in Freiburg. It includes sixteen contributions, some of which were selected from the proceedings of the workshop (often in extended form) together with a number of specially invited articles and reviews
X-ray and electron diffraction studies in materials science by D. J Dyson( )

4 editions published in 2004 in English and held by 771 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

X-ray diffraction was first applied almost a century ago. The subsequent development of the technique and its application across industry and academia to physical, chemical and biological problems has made it an important tool in the armoury of the analyst. Much of he early work developed the basic theory and much of this is still relevant today. These early years saw the publication of some extremely good texts on the subject. Much of what is presented in these is still applicable; many of them however are no longer in print. More recent times have seen the emergence of diffractometry an cont
