Arriva il giorno della finale alla quale assisterà anche un selezionatore americano in cerca di talenti per una prestigiosa squadra statunitense: per Jessminder sarà impossibile parteciparvi, visto che sua sorella si sposa proprio quel giorno. Mentre la tata prosegue l'educazione dei bambini, zia Adelaide giunge alla villa e chiede di condurre nella propria magione una tra le figlie di Cedric per educarla: con la vecchia, sotto mentite spoglie, parte però la servetta Evangeline, desiderosa di ricevere un'istruzione. I bambini, che non vedono di buon occhio Selma, sabotano il primo incontro tra Cedric e la donna; quest'ultima, però, invogliata dai soldi di zia Adelaide, accetta la proposta di matrimonio: sia Cedric sia i figli, si avviano, dunque, all'evento, senza molto entusiasmo, in parte consolati dal fatto di poter mantenere la casa e restare uniti. Nondimeno, imbeccati da tata Matilda, i bimbi fanno saltare il matrimonio, trasformandolo in un'allegra guerra di torte in faccia. Poco male: dopo la fuga di Selma e dell'antipatica zia, Cedric sposa Evangeline; finalmente del tutto educati, i bambini non hanno più bisogno della tata, che, dunque, si congeda dall'intera famiglia
