1. Porträt Romuald Karmakar Romuald Karmakar, Filmemacher, Dokumentarist, "enfant terrible"--Seit 20 Jahren dreht der 1965 in Wiesbaden geborene Autodidakt international beachtet seine Filme. Bereits sein erster Kurzfilm, "Coup de Boule", löste in den 80ern Kontroversen aus. Nach nur drei Filmen offerierte ihm das Filmmuseum München eine Werkschau. Seitdem ist er ein Wanderer zwischen den Gattungen: Kurzfilme, Dokumentarfilme, Spielfilme - oft preisgekrönt, immer polarisierend. Kein visuelles Fastfood, sondern Filme, die auf Grund ihrer Form, ihrer Themen und ihrer Gestaltung eine Auseinandersetzung herausfordern. Sein bislang neuester Film, "Hamburger Lektionen", rekonstruiert den vollständigen Wortlaut zweier Sitzungen des Imams Mohammed Fazazi in der Al-Quds-Moschee in Hamburg. Nach den Anschlägen vom 11. September 2001 wurde bekannt, dass drei der vier Selbstmordpiloten regelmäßig diese Moschee besuchten und in engen Kontakt zu Imam Fazazi standen. Der Film erlaubt dem Zuschauer, die Binnenlogik eines islamistischen Denkers und Predigers kennen zu lernen. In einem Kurzporträt von Peter Stockhaus erzählt Romuald Karmakar von seinen Filmen, seiner Haltung und seinen Vorgehensweisen. 2.
