3 editions published in 2017 in French and English and held by 15 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

1 edition published in 2016 in French and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In the present study, we analyze all the novels of Didier van Cauwelaert, a writer from Nice, in aim to demonstrate the different aspects of his writing and their relation with his personality. Our thesis tries to find answers to many questions as: is the writing of DVC a writing of birth or of death? What are the particularities of his novels' universe? How do this universe and the writing take shape? What kind of space the novels constitute? This research is composed of three parts: the first, Cauwalaert's signature, studies the stylistic particularities of the writer. We develop his style, the piecemeal, playful, musical writing, and we show how he stylizes his texts by developing possible texts. We analyze also the psychocritic nucleus revealing his personal myth and we study the multiple sub-genres of his novels: the fantastic, comic and police ones. The second part is entitled the inter actions around the text. It envisages the relations uniting the writer to his texts, to the lector and to other writers. We ask the genesis of this fictional universe and the image of the writer through his novels. The third and last part, the massif of novels, aims the casting, the distribution of roles, the fiction and the form of narration. This part of the study envisages the diachronic progression of all the novels. We look into the evolution of the writer and his relationship with his time. Finally, we analyze the space of the novels that gives structure to a novel-space which is a universe of hope and emotion where the narrative instances melt and the perception creates a miniature world

Il territorio dell'esistenza : Francesco Biamonti (1928-2001) by Matteo Grassano( )

1 edition published in 2018 in Italian and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

1 edition published in 2019 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This thesis is about documentaries which, in Spain, are in a half-way between militant commitment and political disengagement. Our research focused on minority movies likely to take the opposite view of the feeble representations of social problematics, and thus, to propose a political interpretation. These productions, by coming closer to militancy, question the speech and the action of in place authorities (political and economical) and, at the mean time, show alternatives that belong to a distant or very recent past. Portmán, a la sombra de Roberto (Miguel Martí, 2001), El efecto Iguazú (Pere Joan Ventura, 2002), 200 km. (Discusión14, 2003), La mano invisible (Isadora Guardia, 2004), Veinte años no es nada (Joaquín Jordà, 2004), El astillero (Disculpen las molestias) (Alejandro Zapico, 2007), Flores de luna (Juan Vicente Córdoba, 2009), 15M Libre te quiero (Basilio Martín Patino, 2011), although these movies share a lot of things in common with social criticism, they do not focus on individual fates, but rather on collective projects. Moreover, beyond describing facts, they act as whistleblowers in order to modify the viewer's consciousness

1 edition published in 2013 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This reseach project is neither an indictment nor a means of defending acts of vengeance, but rather the result of a problem in clinical practice: what to do about the words, even threats of vengeance heard in the context of therapy. Byrediscovering psychological treatment as a civilised response, we aim to show that what is at stake is above all the way the psyche is structured so as to permit the patient to come into contact with the domain of the imaginary and the symbolic. Thetheoretical framework we elaborate here is obliged to confront a clinical practice, where all motivations for transference are analysed in depth and where, yet again, the desire for vengeance may well be present. Words or threats of vengeance, in the clinical context, commit the patient to a longterm process and to a certain relationship to the big Other. Hearing this enables the social and symbolic order to be reborn. And this is where our postmodern categories of thought have an important role to play!

1 edition published in 2016 in Italian and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This study of the narrative works by Stefano Benni published between 1976 and 2009 aims to illustrate his poetic style through the analysis of its thematic, stylistic and philosophic elements. Themes have been identified to reflect Benni's values: the importance of oral communication and socialization, the power of imagination to explore new worlds and new solutions, the importance of human diversity in the contemporary society, childhood with its visionary capacity and old age with its memory. Benni's body of work exists within a contemporary social context. To the reader this is evident on every page due to his careful choice of words and rhythm. All forms of his humor are examined in order to recognize it as the most representative language for the contemporary complexity. This part of the research was essential to identify the motivation behind Benni's writings. The cognitive power associated with his literature led us to study Benni's philosophic background and his vision of the world in the third section. The literary process enables the writer to juxtapose the tensions that exist between individual feelings and emotions with the events surrounding a given situation. In this way humor and imagination stimulate empathy, awareness and a faith in change

1 edition published in 2017 in Italian and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This doctoral thesis aims at the study of cultural exchanges, within the theatre framework, between Italy and France, and more particularly between the West of Liguria and the Alpes-Maritimes Department during the 19th century. It's divided into five parts. The first part studies the history of the territory of the current Department of Alpes-Maritimes and Western Liguria and their cultures. The second part deals with the theater's story and its function in France and Italy, especially in the Napoleonic period, and during the annexation of the County of Nice to France, The third part describes the theatrical structures of the two territories in the 19th century. The fourth part evokes the roads in these territories and their evolution over the century, as well as the travels and the living conditions of the artists who moved, crossing the border if necessary. Finally, the fifth part, examines the performances and the audiences of each theatre. This thesis is accompanied by appendice that show many of the archived documents used for our studies and analyzes
La mort comme origine by Laurent Noyon-Collier( )

1 edition published in 2014 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This research is about the question of death, and her effects in the clinical practice of the psychologist clinician directed by the psychoanalysis. It ensues from it the resumption of the question of the death in the works of Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan, and other authors, and a possible criticism of the concept of death drive. Thereby, the death suggests as confidentially connected to the question of the desire. The postmodern social link marking a tendency to close at the same time these two dimensions, the question of the speech which underlies it as it does not spell, can join to the passage of a subject getting organized around the fantasy, to a subject getting organized around image, what underlines the difference to be operated between image and imagination. It ensues from it for the author, the thorough review of three questions who question him most in clinical : that he has to be the desire of the clinician there to operate for cure by the words, as well as the involvement of the anxiety and for the transfer in this type of therapeutic support

1 edition published in 2020 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Of Indian origin, the tambour malbar is a one skin and circular drum which is used, in Reunion Island, on Hindu religious manifestations particularly since the 19th century. Strongly connected to those circumstances because of its main function to call deities and as an instrument of sacred music, during a long time, the tambour malbar has been exclusively reserved to religious use. If this musical culture is present, for example, in literary themes of creole Reunionese music in the 20th century, it's from the mid-1980s that a new look is given to this instrument, by some local artists, and particularly with its physical integration inside concert music. This thesis on the uses of the tambour malbar wants to describe its creolization phenomena; those phenomena are not only given by the diversification of its uses since this period but also by the re-localization of cultural practices from India in Reunionese creole area as early as the 19th century. The tambour malbar can be considered as a symbolical practice permanently readjusted because it answers to specific expectations given by each context where it is simultaneously used. Source of impoverishment for some people, of richness for others, the explosion of the uses of the tambour malbar in the Reunionese social area gives to this instrument an identity both plural and contrasted, necessary unstable, which transforms it continually (in terms of form and music) as the circumstances of its use evolve. This research thus proposes different points of view enabling an approach of the tambour malbar on Reunion Island nowadays

1 edition published in 2015 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This anthropological study describes multiple activities initiated through the creation in (1982) and subsequent extension in (1999) of a wine-making project conducted in the high Andean altiplano with a group of farmers of the Department of Boyaca in Colombia. This region has undergone a historical process of deterritorialization. Nowadays, it is the home of a robust peasant population which heavily relies on numerous small properties known as minifundios and micro-minifundios, which are generally farmed by peasant households on hillsides. From this study, it is argued that the application of specialized information (based on specialized methods) to agriculture has been very limited in the region of our study. Therefore, this lack of specialized practices has contributed to the significant level of poverty these communities face, especially the rural dwellers. This is to say, agricultural practices represent a decisive factor for the use of natural resources and cultural development. In the particular case of vegetable and mineral exploitation, this study argues that the current practices have mostly been led by priests, politicians and military authorities. Thus, the need for a science-based approach entwined with cultural traditions of the local peasant communities encouraged the creation of this study called Proyecto vitivinícola del Valle del Sol y territorios afines, and carried out in above mentioned region. From a descriptive and economic standpoint, we claim that there has been a scarce or nonexistent technical and technological agricultural development in the region
L'affaire Moro : histoire et fiction by Lia Perrone( )

1 edition published in 2018 in Italian and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

On March 16, 1978, the Red Brigades kidnap the former President of the Council of Ministers Aldo Moro, who will be assassinated by the terrorists after a long sequestration. This episode has strongly marked the recent history of Italy, but its interpretation remains controversial because of the gray areas that still surround the facts that need clarifications. In response to this need, writers and artists from different backgrounds have looked into the history of Aldo Moro in order to cast a new light on it and give "further" interpretations. Thus the Moro case has been transformed into a narrative object at the crossroads between history and fiction. In this thesis we study the transformation of the abduction and murder of Aldo Moro into events and their narration. In addition, we reflect on the heuristic potential of these rewritings by asking about their memory implications. Our first critical contribution is to give a systematization to the narratives of the kidnap and murder of Aldo Moro produced starting from 1978, in the aftermath of events, up to 2013, the thirty-fifth anniversary of the death of the politician: novels, pamphlets, autobiographies, memoir books, plays, movies. This extremely composite corpus is by now an organic "transmediatic macro-narration" and it deserves to be considered as a whole. To define the characteristics of this macro-narration, we conduct an in-depth analysis but also a comparative examination of the texts. By resorting to the multiple contributions of narratology, we evaluate the formal aspects of the rewrites of the Moro case and, at the same time, we observe the transformation of Aldo Moro from an historical figure to a fictional character. In addition, we study the intra and interdisciplinary dialogue between works of fiction and, where appropriate, between these works and historiographical and journalistic discourses. With regard to the theoretical contributions of the aesthetics of reception, we also interpret the connections between the author, the work and the audience with the aim of deepening and updating the question of the reciprocal influences between the rewritings of the Moro case and the collective imagination

It will also focus on the benefits and harmful effects

1 edition published in 2013 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Approche psychanalytique du discours sectaire by Arthur Mary( )

1 edition published in 2013 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This research is about contemporary cults and the singular psychological involvement of the cult follower. After having deconstructed the notion of mind manipulation and the idea of a transitive control of the guru toward his/her follower, the author examines the psychological issue of the cult social link, by means of clinical encounters (with current or former followers) and within the paradigm of transference. The author shows that the notion of “cult follower”, which is borrowed from the sociology of religions, is inappropriate to indicate accurately the psychological specificity of the cult experience. In response to the victimological approaches, the conditions of possibility of a non-traumatic discourse are investigated within the relations between the individual subject and the collective subject. In fine, the thesis aims at the writing of the inherent logic of the cult discursivity(ies)

1 edition published in 2016 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

The transition through the political apprehension of water and its levels of adaptability to the local scale in the Mediterranean local level is still ineluctable in order to conceive the evolution of social management styles of irrigation water in the valley of Amizmiz (High Atlas of Morocco). Concerning the evolution of water policies, Morocco has always followed a French juridical model rooted to its hydraulic political history. In the development processes, the technical and adjusted water politics have always disadvantaged the highlands and advantaged the flatlands while considering water as a non-exhaustible resource. Nonetheless, the failure of these purely interventionist policies, that will be revealed later on, encouraged administrative services to think about new modalities that interlock directly in the processes of local water governance. On the other hand, these public strategies have relatively ignored the complexity of social and ecological environments that had previously been appropriated and managed by local actors. The recent public speech oriented to rapid integrated management of water resources cannot be, in this case, considered as an innovation after old irrigation traditions that registered the real modalities of balanced management of ecological and social environments. Through anthropological study on water governance, we can identify the continuities and changes made in the public and local ways of management of irrigation water. Now, the issue of local governance of water is part of a dynamic and flexible social management unlike another state management based on technical, economic and legal rationality

1 edition published in 2019 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This anthropological study of four urban community and collective gardens shows us the importance of the preservation matter. All these gardens are grown organically. The interaction between the gardeners and the cultivated plants, above all, the wildest plants and the weeds is special as in all gardening horticultures, and is influenced by this choice of culture way. The gardeners do a lot of exchanges, mainly about knowledges and plants but they are not bind. When giving gifts, the gardeners give a part of them as the plants have been grown by themselves. Their community is thought to have a specific distinct place in the society. Conflicts are not allowed and solved in order to preserve the group stability as there is a kind of idealization of the collectivity due to its specific place inside the city. The garden means to them not only a representation of themselves but also a representation of the collectivity against the city. The garden is also considered as a caring a generous nature towards the human being and on another hand, it is still a landscape to be contemplated. All these elements conduce them to consider the garden as a place which has to be protected, preserved, and the fence surrounding it materialize this willingness of protection. So the garden is a civilized place while the city represents the wildness. The fence between the garden and the outside doesn't prevent the exchanges of plants, knowledges between human and also non- human. Finally, all these prisms to observe the garden lead us to consider it as a place to be preserved whose imaginary is linked to Eden, a prolific and closed place. Three distinct horticultural logics, aesthetic, productive and organic are directly related to this imaginary
