"'Index eorum theologorum aliorumque ... alphabetico ordine ac secundum gradus suos dispositus', Rastrick's manuscript index of ejected ministers of 1662, used material from Edmund Calamy's Account of [the ministers, lecturers, masters and fellows of colleges and schoolmasters, who were ejected or silenced after the restoration in 1660, by or before, the Act for uniformity ... (1713)], Calamy's Continuation of the Account (1727), and from the Valor ecclesiasticus (1535), and was employed in The Nonconformist's memorial of Samuel Palmer, who had access to the copy Rastrick had presented to Calamy. A holograph of the 'Index', dated 1734, is in [King's] Lynn's central library."--Oxford DNB. The present copy was made from the King's Lynn library copy in 1785, per note on the front pastedown of the volume: "Mr. Rastrick the younger's Ms. acct. of the Ejected Ministers--Lent me by Dr. Lloyd, Jan. 24, 1785. On this page as under is written in the handwriting of the late rev. Chas. Phelpes, Saint Margaret's Library, King's Lyn Norfolk, Glass Case. C.P.D.D.D. Gratitudinis Ergo." The copyist is not identified, but may well have been the Baptist minister William Richards, of King's Lynn, whose large bequest to the Brown University Library in 1819 included this volume
