Per permettersi un look sempre alla moda comincia a rubare nei centri commerciali e, come se ciò non bastasse, viene iniziata da Evie - che si scoprirà essere in una condizione famigliare ancora più precaria di quella di Tracy (la madre è tossicodipendente, il padre assente) - alla droga e al sesso etero e omosessuale. Il piacere sempre più intenso per la trasgressione e la ribellione fini a se stesse porta Tracy ad aggredire prima la madre, poi il fratello e infine anche il padre finalmente "materializzatosi" dopo le innumerevoli richieste di aiuto da parte dell'ex moglie.
