This work tries, using existing literary resources and some econometric concepts, to explain more significantly the effects of trade on economic growth in a specific country (Tunisia). To provide some answers to this question, we focused on the nature of the causal link between trade and growth. Nevertheless, the study addresses in the first instance, the question of a simultaneous variation between trade and growth, in a second stage, the situation of the major determinants of the Tunisian trade and one last time, we study the effects of foreign trade on economic performance and the welfare in Tunisia. The first chapter discusses the delimitation of the different concepts that will be studied (definitions, motivations, roles, rules ... foreign trade) and the presentation of the commonly used instruments analysis. The second chapter presents the available advantages of Tunisia to boost its trade. Therefore, trade policies implemented are reviewed, as well as high-quality infrastructure, human capital skills, the attractiveness and the investment climate. The third chapter provides a descriptive analysis of the evolution and structure of Tunisian foreign trade (physiognomy changes over time, characteristics) between 1961 and 2011. Given the endogeneity of the advantages of the country and the evolution of its foreign trade (findings of two previous chapters), the purpose of the fourth chapter is to identify the main determinants of the Tunisian foreign trade between 1967 and 2011 using a gravitational dynarnic model "enriched" estimated by the method of instrumental variables time series (IV)

2 editions published between 2007 and 2008 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The success of documentary credit is undeniable. Nevertheless, the safety which it provides the applicant with is unsatisfactory and constitutes a weakness. It can be improved in the opening phase of the credit. The object of this work is to study through the UCP 500, 600 and some elements of compared law the extent of the safety granted to the applicant during the opening phase, clarify its limits and propose remedies. The analysis shows that this safety is at the same time dependent on the behavior of the client and the banker. The former is held with a careful preparation of its instructions and with a sufficient preparation of the documentary requirements. The latter is supposed to play an essential role in the study of his customer's instructions and take care of a conpliant and fast transmission of the letter of credit or any revision. The study oberves moreover that the contribution of the UCP and case law is unsatisfactory. The safety of the applicant is limited by the intention to protect banks. The UCP 2007 revision seems critical from this point of view. The led analyses make it possible to conclude that it is to the aplicant himself that returns mainly the effort to take care of his own interests. they propose practival recommandations for the preparation of the credit's opening. This aims also to encourage the Tunisian legislator to reform articles 720 to 727 of the commercial code of 1959 in order to adapt them to the international practices and rules into force

2 editions published in 2012 in French and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The present PhD research is positioned within a context that yields controversial attitudes that is the reality TV phenomenon. This type of broadcast which is a new trend in television programming has led to different opposing reactions. On the one hand, it has led to serious criticism that belongs to a varied and diverse environment. On the other hand, and being omnipresent, its various formats have seen an enormous success especially within the category of children and adolescents who are in search for their identity. Thus, the current work main objective is to better encircle the effect of the experiential consumption of the concept of reality TV on the identity construction of people aged between 8 and 14. This research was conducted from an axis relying on three sources of data collection namely the semi- structured interview, the mini- group interviews and observations in a situation. Indeed, several results were found out, the attitude towards the reality TV programs and more specifically the program in question that is star academy is influenced by the religious aspect of the cultural and the social class of the Tunisian families. The experiential consumption of such program has largely contributed to the construction of the two identity facets (individual and collective) of the subjects through the physical appearance of the participants of the show, family reactions and feelings while broadcasting it, the competitive aspect and the imitative behaviour of the candidates

2 editions published in 2013 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Two major facts hold place to explain the interest of the variability of Real exchange rate (RER) in emergent countries. First, the International Financial integration (IFI), corollary of the abandonment of Bretton-Woods's system, and the proliferation of floating exchange rate regimes, amplified partially fluctuations and disequilibria of RER, notably in emergent countries. Then, the frequent exchange rate fluctuations, called volatility of RER, and the recurrent distortion, called misalignment of RER, build generally a matrix of crises and lower economic performance. These considerations drove economists to reconsider the question of the variability of RER, its determinants and its induced effects on the economic growth in emergent countries. Also, this question occupies a crucial position in research articulating macroeconomic and international finance. Our thesis appears in such a perspective of research; it is a reflection on the characterization of the nature and the extent of the mediation between RER variability and economic growth in the context of International Financial Integration The empirical validation of such a characterization took support on a widened sample constituted of heterogeneous emergent countries, on the one hand, and on an intensive recourse to econometric tools, on the other one. In addition, it has been question of empiric estimation articulating relatively recent econometric techniques, as the GMM in dynamic panel, panel co-integration and the method of Dynamics of Least Squared (DOLS). To the term of this empirical effort, we are allowed to note that the RER variability is an explanatory element of the economic decrease in emergent countries, decrease amplified by the IFI that intensifies this variability

2 editions published in 2015 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This thesis is devoted to the usefulness of intangible assets disclosure by French listed companies around new equity issues and its impact on stock liquidity. The growing importance of intangibles for companies' competitiveness and growth, besides of their non-recognition often raises the question of the need to complete financial statements by intangible assets voluntary disclosure. Accounting and finance literature shows changes in external users' information needs and highlights their attention for information related to intangibles. Insufficient communication on these assets accentuates information asymmetry in financial markets. It provides also a fertile ground for wealth transfer from uninformed investors to informed investors, as by exploiting private information, they can derive higher returns at the expense of other investors. This situation leads to a decrease in stock liquidity, and therefore to an increase of companies' cost of capital, which becomes more important around equity issues. The study conducted on a sample of French listed companies issuing new equity over the period 2000-2009 shows a low level of intangibles voluntary disclosure. Furthermore, our analysis shows that intangibles voluntary disclosure reduces spread, and increases trading volume at the announcement of a capital increase

3 editions published between 2009 and 2018 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2 editions published in 2007 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2 editions published in 2009 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Our research gets organized around a reform of the curriculum "between institutional orders and reality of the teaching practices ". It is exactly a question of showing the impact of a.curriculaire reform, with regard to the education (teaching) of the elementarv algebra. On the practices of the teachers in the System of Tunisian secondary education. We turn to good account the existing works to approach this problem by taking two essential dimension and the professional dimension. A fine analysis of the actual practices of three teachers reveals as well evolutions as stability bringing us to distinguish several forms of adaptation to the reform: those " correspondence of surface" and those "in-depth correspondence " to praxeologic organization prescribed by a reform

2 editions published between 2008 and 2011 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This thesis deals with the mediation between corporate governance and performance in the Tunisian case. The investigation helps to identify the hierarchization of the effects of governance mechanisms on the different measures of performance. As per the authorities, the legal and regulatory framework would provide explanatory principles of a better quality of governance, constituting thus a vector of efficiency. This improvement is made possible thanks to progressive substitution of a social logic for a productivist logic in governance referents. The gradual nature of this substitution is, in Tunisia, led by an ongoing concern about preserving the balance between the economic and the social areas. Privatization, illustrative setting of this substitution, represents a vector allowing a number of public corporations to enjoy contributions to funds and cognitive transfers

2 editions published in 2010 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Wavelet-based lifting structures and blind source separation : applications to digital in-line holography by Jamel Hattay( Book )

2 editions published in 2016 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The present thesis is meant to develop specific processes, in the realm of wavelets domain, for certain digital holography applications. We mainly use the so-called blind source separation (BSS) techniques to solve numerous digital holography problems, namely, the twin image suppression, real time coding and transmission of holograms. Firstly, we give a brief introduction to in-line configuration of digital holography in flow measurements: the recording step explanation and the study of two reconstruction approaches that have been used during this thesis. Then, we emphasize the two well known obstacles of digital holograms reconstruction, namely, the determination of the best focus plane and the twin image removal. Secondly, we propose a meticulous scrutiny of the tool, based on the Blind Source Separation (BSS), enhanced by a multiscale decomposition algorithm, which enables the blind separation of convolutively mixed images. The suggested algorithm uses a wavelet-based transformer, called Adaptive Quincunx Lifting Scheme (AQLS), coupled with an appropriate unmixing algorithm. The resulting deconvolution process is made up of three steps. In the first step, the convolutively mixed images are decomposed by AQLS. Then, separation algorithm is applied to the most relevant component to unmix the transformed images. The unmixed images are, thereafter, reconstructed using the inverse of the AQLS transform. In a subsequent part, we adopt the blind source separation technique in the wavelet field domain to solve several problems related to digital holography. In this context, we present two main contributions for digital in-line hologram processing. The first contribution consists in an entropy-based method to retrieve the best focus plane, a crucial issue in digital hologram reconstruction. The second contribution consists in a new approach to remove a common unwanted artifact in holography called the twin image. The latter contribution is based on the blind source separation technique, and the resulting algorithm is made up of two steps: an Adaptive Quincunx Lifting Scheme (AQLS) based on the wavelet packet transform and a statistical unmixing algorithm based on Independent Component Analysis (ICA) tool. The role of the AQLS is to maximize the sparseness of the input holograms. Since the convolutive formalism is retained in digital in-line holography, BSS-based tool is extended and coupled with wavelet-based AQLS to fulfill the deconvolution task. Experimental results confirm that convolutive blind source separation is able to discard the unwanted twin image from digital in-line holograms. The last of this part consists in measuring the thickness of a ring. This ring is obtained from an improved reconstructed image of an hologram containing a vapor bubble created by thermal coupling between a laser pulse and nanoparticles in a droplet of a liquid. The last part introduces the Tele-Holography concept. Once the image of the object is perfectly reconstructed, the next objective is to code and transmit the reconstructed image for an interactive flow of exchange between a given laboratory, where the holograms are recorded, and a distant partner research. We propose the tele-holography process that involves the wavelet transform tool for lossless compression and transmission of digital holograms. The concept of tele-holography is motivated by the fact that the digital holograms are considered as a 2D image yielding the depth information of 3D objects. Besides, we propose a quincunx embedded zero-tree wavelet coder (QEZW) for scalable transmission. Owing to the transmission channel capacity, it reduces drastically the bit rate of the holography transmission flow. A flurry of experimental results carried out on real digital holograms show that the proposed lossless compression process yields a significant improvement in compression ratio and total compressed size. These experimentations reveal the capacities of the proposed coder in terms of real bitrate for progressive transmission

2 editions published in 2007 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

2 editions published in 2006 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The aim of this work is the determination of detection mechanism for WQ3 based sensors by impedance spectroscopy, under reducing (ethanol and acetone) or oxidizing (ozone) gases. This technique is a powerful method for understanding the conduction processes and the solid/gaz interaction mechanisms of these sensors kind. The studied WOa sensitive thin layers were deposited at the laboratory by reactive radio-frequency magnetron sputtering and vacuum evaporation. These techniques permit to prepare homogeneous and polycrystalline thin layers. The morphological properties were studies by atomic force microscopy (AFM). The impedance investigation showed that the sensors interaction with ozone and organic vapors depends on the W03 sensitive layer morphology in particular of their density of grain boundaries. We have also analyzed by impedance spectroscopy the response under ozone and ethanol of W03 based sensors wherein the film surface was modified by gold (Au) or palladium (Pd) metal additive. The results of these studies showed that the Au addition improves slightly the sensitivity of the sensors toward ethanol, for the films of WO3 obtained by sputtering or evaporation. Under ozone, the Au addition seems to be able to improve the sensitivity of WC3 sensors film prepared by evaporation. For instance, the sensors became practically insensitive toward the two used gases when Pd is added. The results of this work make it possible to determine the principal morphological parameters to take into accounts for the improvement of the WO3 based sensors responses
