Nova Scotia product market match study : technical report( Book )

4 editions published in 2000 in English and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The Nova Scotia tourism product-market match analysis was commissioned by Tourism Nova Scotia on behalf of the Product Development Committee of the Nova Scotia Tourism Partnership Council. Recognizing that not all tourism products in Nova Scotia are market-ready, and are of varying appeal in the marketplace, the Committee determined that was important to get a clear understanding of the key tourism products that Nova Scotia should be further enhancing and taking to market. The specific objective of the product market match study was to assess Nova Scotia's tourism products by consolidating existing market and products research, providing a basis for scoring and ranking tourism products on both product and market criteria. In addition to this assessment and research consolidation, the process identified information and research gaps, emerging products for future development consideration in Nova Scotia, and key infrastructure needs, as well as the most pressing product development needs within each product category. The product-market match model created as part of this study provides a tool which will assist the province, regional organizations and the tourism industry in preparing product development strategies and in setting priorities. It also will provide a framework on which to base discussion about product development.--Document
