This collection contains checklists, procedures booklets, lunar surface maps, and the flight plan carried aboard the Apollo 15 spacecrafts "Endeavor" and "Falcon" during the first extended scientific exploration of the Moon, July 26-August 7, 1971. It also contains 2 photographs of David R. Scott driving a rover on the moon and standing on the moon next to the American flag and lunar lander "Falcon." Many of the booklets contain annotations by Scott, Irwin, and Worden written during the mission as they recorded measurements and noted their progress. The Flight Plan provides minute-by-minute instructions for their activities during the entire flight and a detailed menu and list of what each astronaut ate. The EVA 1 Prep card within the LM Lunar Surface Checklist contains a summary of the rocks they collected while on the moon. The Apollo 15 astronauts were all Air Force. The back up commander was a Navy pilot (Dick Gordon). The Air Force and Navy pilots regularly played practical jokes on each other hence the photos of naked women in some of the materials
