Miss Canada wins the contest of the "most virgin" Miss Monde 1984 and the prize is marriage to a milk industry tycoon along with his 50 billion dollars fortune. During their honeymoon, Miss Canada does not accept the "golden" penis of her husband, and with the help of black man Jeremiah Muscle, she runs away to Paris. There she meets a Latin singer, El Macho, they have intercourse in the Eiffel Tower and get stuck together. She moves to a weird anarchic community and later becomes an actress working in a chocolate advertisement. Meanwhile, the revolutionary, pedophile, and mad killer Anna Planeta makes candy in her boat while sailing through the canals of a city that seems to be Amsterdam. She meets the sailor Potemkin and they have a torrid affair. Meanwhile, she uses her candies to seduce young boys and kill her lovers. In the middle of the story, what seems to be footage of a Nazi doctor and a slaughter in a war with many dead bodies is presented. Makavejev's bizarre and pointedly satirical vision is totally uncompromising and filled with shocking images, looking at sex in all its complexities

Antonin Artaud (1896-1948) remains one of the most influential figures in 20th century art, theatre, and cinema. His influence is evident in the works of such theatre luminaries as Jean Genet and Peter Brook, and extends into the world of rock 'n' roll through artists like Jim Morrison and Patti Smith. This amazing collection sheds light on the enigmatic genius who penned some of theatre's most sacred texts, in addition to starring in early classics of world cinema. En Compagnie d'Antonin Artaud is a drama based on the diaries of Jacques Prevel, a poet who befriended Artaud in 1946 when he was released from an insane asylum. In La Véritable histoire d'Artaud le Mômo, Artaud's friends and colleagues provide moving and extraordinary eyewitness testimony to his final years. The bonus short, Jacques Prevel, de colère et de haine, is a documentary portrait of the poet Jacques Prevel, a very close disciple of Artaud, based on the accounts of those close to him

William Klein's explosive New York street photography made him one of the most heralded artists of the sixties. An American expatriate in Paris, Klein has also been making challenging cinema for more than forty years, yet with the exception of his acclaimed documentary Muhammad Ali, the Greatest, his film work is barely known in the United States. In his three fiction features -- Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?, Mr. Freedom, and The Model Couple -- he skewers the fashion industry, American empire, and governmental mind control with hilarious, cutting aplomb. Today Klein's politically galvanizing social critiques seem even more acute than the works of the better-known New Wavers. These are colorful, surreal antidotes to all forms of social oppression

Shot in Prague, Marienbad, and Kierling in locations the author actually knew, it offers a look at Kafka and his world, his psychology and outlook, as illuminated by those who knew him
