3 editions published in 2005 in French and held by 21 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

[SDM]

War babies( Visual )

3 editions published between 2002 and 2003 in English and held by 14 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

While much attention has been given to the women survivors of wartime rape, this is the first film to focus on the children conceived through such violence. It follows the stories of offspring in Bangladesh, Bosnia, Rwanda and Nicaragua. Ryan was born out of such violence in Bangladesh and adopted in infancy by a Canadian couple. He returns to his country of origin in search of information about his mother and the Pakistani soldier who raped her during Bangladesh's struggle for independence. He worries that he may have inherited an "evil gene" from this father. His mother was one of 250,000 women raped during that war. In Rwanda, Tutsi women are afraid to testify against their attackers for fear of reprisal. One daughter, the child of rape, is adored by her mother because all her other children were massacred in the genocide. In Bosnia, many women were able to obtain abortions to avoid bearing the children of their enemies. The documentary is a powerful indicator of the dimension of this crime of war

Manon le dernier droit?( Visual )

3 editions published in 2004 in French and held by 13 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
