Interspersed with archival footage relating the origins of the political unrest of the 1960, the film introduces the young men and women who will ultimately go on to become militant activists seeking to overthrow the established world order. "[C]hronicles the rise and fall of Butte, Montana, and specifically, the mysterious and grisly death of legendary Wobbly organizer, Frank Little. Much of the extant evidence is inscribed upon Butte's landscape, thus, a connection is drawn between the unsolved murder, and the devastation of the town itself ... The murder provides [the film] with a taut narrative, which is interwoven with the history of the American Left, McCarthyism, environmental destruction, and even the birth of the detective novel."--Container

"[A]n award-winning feature-length creative documentary exploring the extraordinary world of the plasmodial slime mould as revealed through the eyes of the fringe scientists, mycologists and artists who work with them. Long overlooked by biologists, in recent years this curious organism has become the focus of much research in such areas as biological-inspired design, emergence theory, unconventional computing and robot engineering, much of which borders on the world of science fiction. The film transports us from the laboratory into its natural habitat, depicting these otherworldly lifeforms using startling time-lapse macro-cinematography to reveal hidden facets of the world around us."--Container
Bara no sōretsu = Funeral parade of roses( Visual )

1 edition published in 2006 in Japanese and held by 35 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

An evocative journey through Tokyo's underground gay and transvestite club scene in the Shinjuku district. Director Matsumoto mixes documentary footage of street theater with staged scenes of Japanese youth culture as it existed in Tokyo in the late sixties. We follow Eddie, a popular young transvestite as he travels from bar to bar, eventually ending up in a drug fueled dance party where a game of spin the bottle leads to an orgy. The following day we observe Eddie and his two friends as they go shopping for womens clothing in a Tokyo shopping mall. As Funeral Parade of Roses progresses, the professional rivalry between Eddie, who dresses as a modern woman and his rival, a drag queen who prefers to dress as a traditional geisha, escalates as they vie for the attentions of cabaret manager Gonda. Funeral Parade of Roses is often cited as a major inspiration for Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange
