Photocopy of a handwritten and signed letter dated 4 July 1843, written in Nauvoo, Illinois, and addressed to Wealthy Richards, then living in Richmond, Massachusetts. Also included are some comments by Willard Richards. Jennetta writes about her recent illness saying she was baptized seven times to recover her health. She also tells about life in Nauvoo and some of Willard's activities. Jennetta also talks about a recent arrest of the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith.

Five holograph letters plus typescripts of each. All of the letters were written to the family of Jennetta Richards (d. 1845) in England. Three are by Jennetta and were composed in Nauvoo, Illinois. They are largely concerned with family matters. One dated 8 July 1844 tells of the assassination of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith (1805-1844).

Handwritten legislative motion passed by the Utah territorial legislature on 3 March 1852. The item was signed by Brigham Young (1801-1877), "governor;" Willard Richards (1804-1854), "Pres. of the Council;" and William W. Phelps (1792-1872), "Speaker of the House of Rep." The measure requests that the federal government build a railroad across the United States.

Handwritten legislative act passed by the Utah territorial legislature on 3 Feb. 1852. The item was signed by Brigham Young (1801-1877), "Governor;" Willard Richards (1804-1854), "President of the Council;" and William W. Phelps (1792-1872), "Speaker of the House of Rep." The measure establishes the office of county treasurer in the counties of the Utah territory.

Original proclamation endorsed by Willard Richards, W. W. Phelps, and Brigham Young. The document is an act authorizing Thomas Moore to erect a ferry on the Green River. The act discusses the fares that would be charged for its use. The document also states the penalty for running unauthorized ferries.

It intruduces the bearer as a acquaintance of Brigham Young. The manuscript was probably used for missionaries of the Mormon Church. The item was signed by both Young and Willard Richards, an apostle in the Mormon Church.
