The Foundation for Concrete Art and Design Ingolstadt presents the Hungarian artist Vera Molnar (* 1924 in Budapest, Hungary) in honor of her 90th birthday a comprehensive retrospective. Since 1947 Molnar lives and works in Paris. As a great pioneer of digital art, in the late 1960s she used the first mainframes as a central tool for the design of her geometric-systematic works, and since then has worked continuously with the computer. She translates her hand drawings into elementary forms such as the square into self-written programming that considers chance as a central design principle. So she develops series in which the strict regularity is varied by random disturbances.--Gallery website
Einknicken oder Kante zeigen? : Die Kunst der Faltung by Germany) Museum für Konkrete Kunst (Ingolstadt( Book )

3 editions published in 2014 in German and English and held by 19 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Elger Esser : Eigenzeit by Elger Esser( Book )

2 editions published in 2009 in German and held by 19 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The photographs of Elger Esser act like a déjà vu: his magic pictures of riverscapes, bridges, villages, and seacoasts awaken vague memories, even if we have never visited any of the places photographed. Consciously drawing on Marcel Proust, the Stuttgart-born artist (b.1967). Esser thus defies in his choice of photographic techniques: he presented his most recently produced heliogravures, an almost forgotten technique from the nineteenth century, for the first time at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and subsequently at the Museum for Modern Art Arnhem. This first large survey exhibition is fifty large-format works by the artist. Additionally at the beginning of the Duke Collection. Bernd and Hilla Becher at the Dusseldorf Academy of Arts Elger Esser is one of the most important German photographers today.--Gallery website

2 editions published in 2013 in German and held by 18 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Striking, garish and loud: These are the attributes of neon colours, which, with their radiance, have become indispensable to everyday life. Whether in advertising, fashion or road traffic; it is difficult to resist the tremendous power of attraction of these luminous colours. Shortly after they were invented in the 1960s, the first abstract artists already began experimenting with the effects of day-glow paint and neon-coloured Plexiglas. Brought together in this catalogue are paintings, sculptures, installations and photographs by Sylvie Fleury, Rupprecht Geiger, Katharina Grosse, Anselm Reyle and many other artists

Lienhard von Monkiewitsch. ÜBERRÄUME. Werke/Works 1969–2018 Katalog zur Ausstellung im Städtischen Museum Braunschweig 2018 by Peter Joch( Book )

2 editions published in 2018 in English and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The works of Lienhard von Monkiewitsch have an affinity with constructivist, concrete art but violate its laws of purity with experimental curiosity. Beginning with empty interiors and large-scale architectural fragments, Monkiewitsch ultimately turned to the colour black. Through his intensive investigation into the Fibonacci numbers, he construed his own vocabulary of the square, which he contrasts? not without a bit a humour? with that of Malevich.0/0Seit Ende der 60er-Jahre ist die Darstellung des Raums Thema von Lienhard von Monkiewitsch (geb. 1941). - 08.07.2018).0
Gegenüber : Hartmut Böhm und Hans-Peter Riese( Book )

3 editions published in 2014 in German and held by 10 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
