The records comprise interviews that were conducted by the Getty Art History Information Program (AHIP) and Brown University's Institute for Research in Information and Scholarship (IRIS) in 1986 and 1988. The interviews consist of discussions with experts and researchers in the history of art and architecture. Materials include bound transcripts of the majority of the interviews as well as some of the original sound recordings.

The implementation of a new learning area, Technology and Enterprise, in the K- 12 curriculum, has raised some concerns among primary teachers in Western Australia. This study focuses on one strand of the Technology and Enterprise statement, that of "designing, making and appraising" (DMA) and approaches it from two perspectives. The first section of the study relates to how upper primary children perform when undertaking a technology task, in this case, a construction. It is guided by a research question which asks, "How do children generate designs, plan and carry out construction tasks and appraise finished products?" An analysis of the children's designing, making and appraising skills has been completed from data collected and personal observations and showed that the children lacked expertise in all three skills. The second section of the study focuses on the concerns primary teachers have when considering teaching technology tasks.
