All about Doris(
Book
)
1 edition published in 2001 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
A compilation of poetry and art in honor of Doris Curran, who was a longtime director of poetry programs at UCLA and a founding member of the Friends of the Graphic Arts. She mounted events at UCLA's Sunset Canyon Recreation Center that included folk music, dance and other art exhibitions. Her activities on behalf of poetry earned her the reputation as the godmother of poetry in Los Angeles. In this portfolio, each sheet between [3]-[10] contains a single poem by one of 8 contemporary poets (who were among the many Doris sponsored throughout her career). Sheets [12]-[23] contain images of her art pieces made by a high-resolution scanning process by her husband, a photographer and emeritus professor from CSU Fullerton, who had held the position of Department Chair in Creative Photography there from 1989 to 1999
