One can suppose that just as feature film became the dream fulfilled for the authors of grand narratives, whether in literature or painting, so video art and filmic projects have made it possible for artists to fulfil themselves in performance art, to infinitely enrich their statements addressed at the senses of sight and hearing, provocative but also impossible to take in a single view and requiring the recipient to devote attention to them for an appropriately long time. Artists often have to give up the pleasure of lone work in the studio on behalf of running entire production campaigns, hiring collaborators and technical personnel and raising funds for their productions. They use music in various ways and for various purposes. What seems particularly interesting are those works whose authors believe in the power of music as the art that 'moves the soul' and consciously refer to it. Exhibition: Zacheta National Art Gallery, Warsaw, 6 April - 2 August 2009
