A series of fact sheets have been developed to describe the rapid transit technologies being considered. This fact sheet focuses on streetcars. Streetcars are a variant of LRT systems, but typically carry fewer passengers than the LRT options considered for the UBC Line. The purpose of this fact sheet is to describe the key characteristics of the streetcar and highlight important differences between streetcars and the LRT systems under consideration."
