They include many copies and transcripts of early family letters in the possession of the English branch of the family and brought to America by Samuel Bancroft, Jr., in 1913. The records also include newsclippings, brochures, and typescript histories of the Joseph Bancroft & Sons Company and the Eddystone Manufacturing Company (absorbed in 1929), and genealogical notes on the Bancroft family in Britain and America.
