Records memoranda, observations of the day, and money expended for household goods and boarding, and Goddard's activities in the clock making business for the year 1795. During January and February, he worked for Luther Goddard noting such tasks as "Finished one eight day alarm clock movement." On Feb. 4, he writes: "Left off working for Luther Goddard after finishing 3 movements which were begun." Between Feb. 5 and Aug. 5, Goddard worked with Gardiner Parker in Westboro. His travels took him to Brookfield, where he boarded with Joseph H. Breck and casted five clocks. In August, Goddard resumed working for Luther. The volume also includes Goddard's formula for cutting pinion teeth and a list of eight day clocks he produced in 1795. The brief entries were made in "The Ladies New Royal Pocket Companion for the Year 1795."
