While studying at Stanford, Phil Knight goes to Japan and discovers the first cheap and sturdy sneakers made by Mr. Onitsuka. Knight's entrepreneurial spirit leads him to bring a few pairs back home with him in order to sell them and immediately copy them. Little by little Knight re-invents the concept of "sportswear": he creates a brand, "Nike", inspired by a Greek goddess, a logo, bought at 35 dollars from an art student and finds a brand new way to differentiate his company: world athletes sponsoring.
