Typescript, carbon, of a diary written by Theodore Turley, prepared by an unidentified transcriber. The diary contains a narrative of his early life, summarizing his work in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Missouri and in Nauvoo, Illinois, 1837-1839. Entries, dated January 27-February 12 and April 14-July 18, 1840, concern Turley's missionary work in England, including discussion of visits to his family and a term of imprisonment. The diary entries include brief references, apparently added by the transcriber, indicating missing sections. The last entry is incomplete.
