Les prières eucharistiques pour la réconciliation : théologie et mystagogie pour aujourd'hui by Tomasz-Zdzisław Powichrowski( Book )

1 edition published in 2005 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

This study concerns the two eucharistic prayers for masses of reconciliation (EPR) which appeared of the occasion of Holy Year 1975. It presents a theological-liturgical analysis of these prayers and their mystagological approach. The EPRs are the result of intensive research, with the goal of spiritual and pastoral enrichment of the celebration of the Eucharist in the post Vatican II days. The works is made of four parts and annexes. The first one consist of the presentation of the "status quaestionis" of current research on the origins of Eucharistic prayers (EPs). This leads to an in-depth study of the formal structure of EPs. The second part presents the various biblical and theological notions of "reconciliation", leading to the 1975 Holy Year, which was celebrated with the theme of "renewal and reconciliation". The central part of this work is an investigation into the creation and the thematic-theological development of EPRs. In the fourth part was shown the mystagological approach and the practical gain for our faith lives today. The annexes (Vol. II) contain EPRs drafs, elaborated by the "roman study group" and the texts written in modern languages. The EPR insists on man's vocation to holiness and exposes the theandrical dimension of reconciliation, the renewal of the covenant as well as rediscovering a route to the Father's house. The EPR reflects the horizontal concept of reconciliazion ; God the Father in his work of salvation streches out both of his hands : the Son and the Holy spirit to transform humanity divided and torn apart in order to bring it to the ideal communion. God shows us healing route and gives us the means to do so in the eucharistic celebreted with one of the EPRs. This is a very concrete response to the needs of the Church at the dawn of the third millennium
