The detector in the direct detection of WIMPS experiments (a plausible candidate for Dark Matter) plays an essential role. The EDELWEISS experiment employs cryogenic semiconductor bolometers to simultaneously measure the heat and the ionization produced by an event. Comparing these two quantities for each event, one can distinguish "electron recoil" events (background other than neutrons) from "nuclear recoil" events (WIMPS). However for those events occurring too close to the electrodes, a deficit in charge collection will degrade drastically the detector discrimination capacity. We introduce a new method to identify near?surface events which is based on the "heat" transient regime analysis of detector. To analyze this regime, we use Nb_xSi_(1-x) Anderson insulator thin layers directly evaporated on the absorber (Ge or sapphire). We find an enhanced transient heat signal for an event less than a critical depth value, d_c (1̃mm in Ge) compared to a detector bulk event with identical energy. We determined this enhancement with respect to the depth of interaction (d< d_c ) and verified that it is valid down to the energy threshold of the detector. We have designed and implemented a setup in which the thermometers are simultaneously used for charge collection electrodes. We have shown that using this method, one can identify the events giving rise to an incomplete charge collection due to their proximity to the electrodes. We conclude that this method allows the definition of a fiducial volume where the discrimination performance is not limited by such events
