This work deals with structural fault recoverability analysis using the bond graph model. The objective is to exploit the structural and causal properties of the bond graph tool in order to perform both diagnosis and control analysis in the presence of faults. Indeed, the bond graph tool enables to verify the structural conditions of fault recoverability not only from a control perspective but also from a diagnosis one. In this way, the set of faults that can be recovered is obtained previous to industrial implementation. In addition, a novel way to estimate the fault by a disturbing power furnished to the system, enabled to extend the results of structural fault recoverability by performing a local adaptive compensation directly from the bond graph model. Finally, the obtained structural results are validated on a redundant intelligent autonomous vehicle

This work deals with robust bond graph model-based fault diagnosis. The main objectives of this work are related to the generation of robust thresholds with respect to measurement uncertainties, and the creation of a systematic procedure for the generation of fault estimation equations. A procedure of thresholds generation based on a graphical representation of the measurement uncertainty has been developed and implemented on a real system. The Bond graph under LFT (linear fractional transformation) form has been used for the generation of fault estimation equations. These equations are used to improve the decision step concerning the isolation of the faults having the same signature and for analyzing the sensitivity of the residuals to faults affecting sensors, actuators and parameters. Prostate cancer is the cancer with the highest incidence in humans over the past decade. Several treatments are used nowadays for lute against this cancer; among them we find the technique of targeted therapy of brachytherapy. This offers significant advantages, better tolerated by the patient and not requiring a long hospitalization. The objective of this thesis is to design an integrated system for the robotization of prostate brachytherapy. This integrated concept includes robotic systems, intelligent instrumentation and software for control and supervision. The proposed solution consists mainly of adaptation of a medical gripper to a robot arm, with integration of virtual simulation for real-time control and monitoring. The description of this solution is made in three parts. The design of the medical gripper is based on modular, scalable and transferable solution. A model based monitoring approach has been integrated into this concept, to oversee the correct functioning of the actuators of the robotic system in real time, during the intra-operative period. The work presented in this memory concerns the control reconfiguration of dynamical systems with variation of operating modes in order to ensure the desired performances. For the control of dynamic systems, two approaches of accommodation have been proposed. The passive approach presents a controller with fixed parameters that doesn't ensure the same performance for different operating modes and an active approach in which the controller settings can be updated according to the variation of the detected operating mode. Our work has therefore focused on this second approach based on multi-models system representation. The modelling errors corresponding to the variations of operating conditions are detected in this case by detection and localization algorithm, consequently, a reconfiguration strategy based on flatness-based switching control is proposed. This approach guarantees the control and the tracking of a reference trajectory. In fact, we have synthesised a discrete flatness-based multi-controllers associated for each operating model obtained from different operating points. Detection of operating modes is done by a residual generation by using Luenberger observers which gains are calculated using the LMI tool. The aim of this study is to develop an hybrid power supply using the complementarities between batteries and supercapacitors in order to improve the mass of electrical storage systems on aircrafts and spacecrafts.The study is divided into three parts: In the first part, a decision-making tool to develop a hybrid power supply given a mission profile is presented. Thanks to this tool, an estimation of the optimal mass of the hybrid power supply is done based only on the specific energy and the specific power of the sources.The second part is firstly composed of a synthesis of bibliography results on the internal behavior of supercapacitors; secondly an experimental test campaign is described. Its aim is characterizing, modeling and identifying the multiphysics behavior and ageing of supercapacitors on several commercial references. Those models are required for the fine sizing optimization of the hybrid power supply. Basing on the internal model of the sources, the aim of the third part of this study is to present the development of an hybrid architecture battery/supercapacitors which fulfills the electrical need for a specific application. This hybrid power supply takes dynamically advantage of the electrical sources at the maximum of their possibilities, but without overstressing them at the same time. Thanks to that, the aging rate of the sources and the failure rate of the system are limited

This work has been realized in the framework of the European project InTraDE (Intelligent Transportation for Dynamic Environment). The main scientific contribution focuses on graphical modeling of System of Systems (SoS) in the engineering field. To model such systems, a graphical method based on hypergraph approach is proposed. Hypergraphs are used to describe the multiple hierarchical levels of a SoS and to describe its associated fundamental properties such as: the independence, cooperation, dispersion and the evolution of the component systems. Through this graphical modeling, online supervision strategies can be directly deduced. To manage the global operating of the component systems at a specific level, a dynamic graphical model is extracted from the hypergraph. This later allows the elaboration of an online optimization strategy. As a case study, an intelligent transportation system is considered. An online optimization algorithm currently updates, the time used for each intelligent autonomous vehicle to reach its target, in a permanently evolving environment

L'objectif de ce travail de thèse dans un premier temps est l'évaluation de performances des modèles de routage multi-chemins pour l'ingénierie de trafic et l'équilibrage de charge sur un réseau de type IP/MPLS (MPLS-TE). Nous comparons la capacité de ces modèles à équilibrer la charge du réseau tout en faisant de la différentiation de trafic. Nous les appliquons sur des grandes topologies générées par le générateur automatique des topologies BRITE, qui s'approchent en forme et en complexité du réseau réel. Nous mesurons ainsi l'impact de leur complexité respective et donc la capacité à les déployer sur des réseaux de grande taille (scalabilité). Dans un second temps, l'objectif est de proposer un concept de modélisation générale d'un réseau à commutations par paquets. Ce modèle est établi sur la base de la théorie différentielle de trafic et la théorie des files d'attente, tout en utilisant des approches graphiques. Le but est d'estimer l'état de charge du réseau et de ses composants (routeurs, liens, chemins). Ensuite, en fonction de ça, nous développons des approches de contrôle de congestion et commande sur l'entrée améliorant les techniques de routage adaptatif et l'équilibrage de charge dans les réseaux IP/MPLS

This PhD thesis is dedicated to the path planning and control strategy for non-holonomic mobile robots. After a review of the recent researches and their features, new path planning algorithms and control strategies are proposed. Firstly, the identification of different mobile robot kinematic models is discussed, robot kinematic models are formulated as a switched singular nonlinear system, and the problem becomes the real-time identification of the switching signal. Secondly, based on the identified model, a local path planning algorithm is proposed, in which the irregular contour of obstacles is represented by segments. The path planning problem is formulated as a constrained receding horizon planning problem and the trajectory is obtained by solving an optimal control problem with constraints. Thirdly, we apply an i-PID controller to control the non-holonomic mobile robot with measurement disturbance. A switching parameter [alpha] is proposed because of the particularity of the non-holonomic system. In addition to our proposed path planning algorithm, another path planning approach using potential field is proposed. The modified potential field function, which takes into account the robot orientation and angular velocity, is able to solve local minima problems and produce smooth forces to avoid oscillations. Finally, a cooperative path planning approach between robots is proposed by using the shared local information of each robot. The visibility graph is used to generate a series of intermediate objectives which will guarantee the robots reaching the final objective, and an algorithm is proposed to expand obstacles and merge obstacles when two obstacles intercross

The works proposed in this thesis are interested in controlling and monitoring of a particular class of production system : manufacturing job-shops with time constraints. We suppose in the study that the resources are allocated and the operations order is fixed by the module of planning/scheduling. The assumptions of repetitive functioning mode with and without assembling tasks are adopted. For this type of problems, the formalism of P-time Petri nets is used in order to study the operations time constraints.A study of the robustness of the manufacturing workshop to time constraints, has been developed. The robustness is approached with and without control reaction qualified as active robustness and passive robustness respectively, towards time disturbances. A computing algorithm of the upper bound of the passive robustness is presented. In addition, three robust control strategies facing time disturbances were developed.Furthermore, uncertainty in manufacturing systems has been studied. Our contribution in this context is by integration of the analytical knowledge of the robustness in the filtering mechanism of sensors signals that are associated to operations, by using fuzzy logic.Starting from a controlled system, we have presented in detail, a method to be followed for the implementation of a monitoring model based on the chronicles and fuzzy fault tree analysis. The supervision of complex and critical industrial processes is a very heavy task which requires effective algorithms. The literature shows a growing interest of graphical approaches because of the simplicity of establishment of the derived algorithms. The model based diagnosis is a method which becomes widespread because of the richness of graphical and structural methods allowing modeling of most complex processes. The bond graph (BG) tool, with its multidisciplinary representation, is one of the most recognized approaches in this framework. In this context, we try in present work to couple this graphical approach with another graphical one allowing incorporating statistics of components failures. All this aims to mitigate the problems: unknown failure signatures or identical signatures for several components and monitoring the system degradation. Indeed, on the basis of consulted literature, it does not appear work which evokes a supervision strategy associating a Bayesian reliability model with a BG model based fault detection and isolation (FDI) approach. Consequently, the suggested work illustrates a method to outline this objective. We propose a new methodology for the supervision of the dynamic and hybrid dynamic systems. Our contribution appears in the proposal for a strategy of risk based supervision by combining two graphical approaches: BG and Bayesian networks (BN). The resulting model for diagnosis is a hybrid BN. It is able to make a decision under uncertainties of BG model and takes account of the probabilities of false alarm and non-detection. Furthermore, integration of two graphical approaches (BG and Bayesian networks (BN) to design robust supervision system is another innovative interest. Generated residuals from BG model are coupled with the component reliability model of components leading to a hybrid BN diagnostic model. This model is then used to make a decision under uncertainties of BG model and takes into account the probabilities of false alarm and non-detection. This PhD thesis is dedicated to the exponential output stabilization of linear NCS (Networked Control Systems). The studied solution is based on a remote observer which is able to estimate the present state of the plant despite the various network induced delays. These last are present in both the control and the measurement channels.The first chapter describes the problem and gives a survey on the NCS. The next chapter proposes a computer structure which realizes the remote, observer-based, state feedback controller. The following two chapters propose LMI conditions (Linear Matrix Inequalities) for the design of the observer-based remote controller. The second method of Lyapunov is used with the most up-to-date Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals. The main objective of the design is to guarantee some performances expressed in the form of exponential stability. Then some enhancements of the control strategy are given. It consists in taking into account the Quality of Service (QoS) in the controller to get better guaranteed performances. The last contribution of this work is to consider the overall system as an event-driven system. It allows one to consider packet dropout problems in the network.The effectiveness of all presented results is demonstrated by real experiments implemented on a light robot controlled over the Internet

The aim of multi-object filtering is to address the multiple target detection and/or tracking problem. This thesis focuses on the Probability Hypothesis Density (PHD) filter, a well-known tractable approximation of the Random Finite Set (RFS) filter when the observation process is realized by a single sensor. The first part proposes the rigorous construction of the exact multi-sensor PHD filter and its simplified expression, without approximation, through a joint partitioning of the target state space and the sensors. With this new method, the exact multi-sensor PHD can be propagated in simple surveillance scenarii. The second part deals with the sensor management problem in the PHD framework. At each iteration, the Balanced Explorer and Tracker (BET) builds a prediction of the posterior multi-sensor PHD thanks to the Predicted Ideal Measurement Set (PIMS) and produces a multi-sensor control according to a few simple operational principles adapted to surveillance activities

The hospital systems are a place of health care distinguished by the variety of activities and situations with which they are confronted. This creates interactions leading into unexpected situations related to several risks.The risk management appears as an important concern for the decisions makers. More particularly, the risk management in the operating theatres has a major importance given that they are about a highly strategic in relation to the many activities they include and the costs they generate. The zero risk does not exist. Never theless, it can be reduced.This research aims to control risk management in operating rooms. This research gets in collaboration between l'Ecole Centrale de Lille and the University Hospital (UH) of Sousse Sahloul, field of study chosen to implement the proposed approach. Since non system of risk management has been implemented in this establishment, this work is significant and original for the UH Sahloul.Our approach is made up of several steps. First, following a comparison between the existing methods of risk management, we chose to adapt the method of risk management FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis) in operating rooms of UH Sahloul, Sousse. We propose a decision support system for risk management based on multi-agent approach in order to guide contributors in the operating rooms making the best decisions to minimize risks which occur in UH Sahloul. Finally, a simulation based on the proposed approach is implemented in the UH Sahloul

Supply chain management involves a wide range of activities. Among most of them, uncertainty exists inherently and always brings some consequence not expected. However, uncertainty is not considered much in conventional supply chain management. In the case where availability of resources is not what we expect, complexity of supply chain management increases. Taking constraints of uncertainty and availability into account, we aim to discuss supply chain management from different aspects. This thesis is an attempt of systematic and complete research from this point and we would like to offer some references to researchers and managers in supply chain. We focus on three classic sources of uncertainty: demand, manufacturing and distribution. For each source of uncertainty, we analyze its cause and its impact to the performance of the supply chain. Uncertainty is specified into concrete classic problem and an approach is proposed to solve it. Furthermore, bi-level newsboy problem as a miniature of supply chain, is focused under double uncertain environment. Treating uncertain variables is actually a treatment on operational level. The methods used offer good demonstration in treating uncertain variables in decision problems

The introduction of new European standards for railway safety, coupled with an increasing use of software technology changes the method of development of critical railway systems. Indeed, new systems have to be at least as good as the previous ones. Therefore the appropriate safety level of critical systems has to be proved in order to obtain the necessary approval from the authorities. Accordingly a high level of reliability and correctness must be reached by the use of mathematical proofs and then formal methods. We focus on the treatment of the temporal requirements in the level crossing case study which is modelled with p-time Petri nets, and on the translation of this model in a more formal way by using the B method. This paper introduces a methodology to analyse the safety of timed discrete event systems. First, our goal is to take out the forbidden state highlighted by a p-time Petri net modelling. This model deals with the requirements of the considered system and has to contain all the constraints that have to be respected. Then we aim at describing a process identified as a solution of the system functioning. This method consists in exploring all the possible behaviours of the system by means of the construction of state classes. Finally, we check if the proposed process corresponds to the requirements model previously built.Our case-study is the level crossing, a critical component for the safety of railway systems

The railway systems are being more and more forced by decision authorities. As they are placed at a high level of abstraction, it becomes problematic to impose another criterion or scale. In fact, since we come down lower, we are confronted with specificities of the national systems which make lose the majority of the work of the European decision-makers. The issue is that, at every level of abstraction, risk assessment methods exist, but without being compatible. Besides, the combination of layers and the functional vision of the railway system do not take into account the impact of some functions on the others, nor the link between the global level of risk and the components to assign the safety.Thus, we propose a harmonized approach for risk assessment. This approach allows us to distribute the constraints defined at the abstract functional level on the entities which implement both the systems and their specificities.Our contribution is methodological. It leaves a functional model of the layered railway system. The purpose is to represent this system without any dependencies between the functions. For instance, it was necessary to translate them independently by creating entrances/exits as places/transitions of a Petri net. A Petri net class corresponds to each layer. Pour la résolution de problèmes d'ordonnancement d'ateliers de type flow-shop en industries pharmaceutiques et d'ateliers de type job-shop flexible, deux méthodes d'optimisation ont été développées : une méthode utilisant les algorithmes génétiques dotés d'un nouveau codage proposé et une méthode d'optimisation par essaim particulaire modifiée pour être exploitée dans le cas discret. Les critères retenus dans le cas de lignes de conditionnement considérées sont la minimisation des coûts de production ainsi que des coûts de non utilisation des machines pour les problèmes multi-objectifs relatifs aux industries pharmaceutiques et la minimisation du Makespan pour les problèmes mono-objectif des ateliers job-shop flexibles.Ces méthodes ont été appliquées à divers exemples d'ateliers de complexités distinctes pour illustrer leur mise en œuvre. L'étude comparative des résultats ainsi obtenus a montré que la méthode basée sur l'optimisation par essaim particulaire est plus efficace que celle des algorithmes génétiques, en termes de rapidité de la convergence et de l'approche de la solution optimale

This PhD thesis is dedicated to the stability analysis of sampled-data systems with time-varying sampling, and to the dynamic control of the sampling instants. The main objective is to design sampling laws that allow for reducing the sampling frequency of state-feedback control for linear systems while ensuring the system's stability.First, an overview of the recent problems, challenges, and research directions regarding sampled-data systems is presented. Then, a novel dynamic sampling control approach, "state-dependent sampling", is proposed. It allows for designing offline a maximal state-dependent sampling map over conic regions of the state space, thanks to LMIs.Various classes of systems are considered throughout the thesis. First, we consider the case of ideal LTI systems, and propose a sampling map design based on the use of polytopic embeddings and Lyapunov-Razumikhin exponential stability conditions. Then, the robustness with respect to exogenous perturbations is included. Different applications are proposed: robust stability analysis with respect to time-varying sampling, as well as event-triggered, self-triggered, and state-dependent sampling control schemes. Finally, a sampling map design is proposed in the case of perturbed LTI systems with delay in the feedback control loop. It is based on L2-stability conditions and a novel type of Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals with state-dependent matrices. Here, the stabilization issue is considered, and a new controller with gains that switch according to the system's state is presented. A co-design controller gains/sampling map is then proposed

Nowadays, the transport goods problem occupies an important place in the economic life of modern societies. The PDPTW (Pickup and delivery problem with Time Windows) is one which a large part of researchers was interested. This is an optimization vehicles routing problem which must meet requests for transport between suppliers and customers satisfying precedence and capacity.Researchers developed in this thesis concerns the resolution of the PDPTW with multiple vehicles (m-PDPTW). The latter was treated in two cases: static and dynamic.We have proposed some approaches to solving the m- PDPTW, based on genetic algorithms, multicriteria optimization and the lower bounds, and this to minimize a number of criteria such as: the vehicles number, the total travel cost, and the total tardiness time.Computational results indicate that the proposed approach gives good results with a total tardiness equal to zero with a tolerable cost

This PhD thesis is dedicated to the modeling and simulation of microscopic traffic behavior in virtual reality system, with the intent of providing a new approach to effectively ensure traffic safety. At first, Virtual Reality Intelligent Simulation System of Vehicles (VR-ISSV), based on multi-agent, is proposed to simulate the intelligent microscopic traffic, which is a hierarchical modular modeling and simulation system consisting of hardware, network and operating system layers, visualization management layer, multi-agent layer, human-machine interface layer. The multi-agent layer includes entity agents (intelligent vehicle agents and around vehicle agents), service agent and environment agent. Second, for the intelligent vehicle agent model, a decentralized design paradigm is used for developing the multi-controller based intelligent vehicle, whereby the car following behavior and the overtaking behavior could be realized by the coordination of the multi-controller. The environment agent is constructed based on the conception of Synthetic Natural Environment (SNE), taking into account the interaction between the vehicles and the natural environment. Geographic Information System (GIS) is used to establish environment agent. Finally, to ensure the safety in microscopic traffic maneuver, the intelligent vehicle controllers adapting to complex environment are considered. Fuzzy logic based controllers are designed for sending the appropriate outputs to the vehicle's actuators - the steering wheel and the throttle/brake pedals.
